Chris Evans Sells His Hollywood Hills Home for Over $5 Million
Celebrity real estate often garners significant attention, but few sales resonate as deeply with fans as those connected to a beloved superhero’s personal journey. When a property has been the backdrop for years of training, transformation, and cherished memories, its sale feels like the conclusion of an important chapter.
This is precisely the sentiment surrounding Chris Evans’ recent exit from Los Angeles. The actor, renowned for his decade-long portrayal of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has spent over a year trying to sell his Hollywood Hills residence.
That chapter has now officially closed. Evans has sold his Hollywood Hills home for just over $5 million, as reported by TMZ, finalizing the deal after reducing the price at the last moment to secure a sale.
The property first hit the market in May 2025 with an asking price close to $7 million. After failing to find a buyer, Evans withdrew the listing last November. It returned to the market in June with a $600,000 price reduction, ultimately selling for approximately $5.38 million, notably below even the lowered asking price.
Evans acquired the 1940s-era home in 2013 for $3.5 million, transforming it into a personal retreat during much of his career-defining tenure as Marvel’s star-spangled Avenger. The 4,600-square-foot residence, situated on a celebrity-favored cul-de-sac near Mulholland Drive, reportedly features a private gym where Evans trained extensively for his role as Captain America.
In addition to its Marvel-related history, the four-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home includes a gourmet kitchen outfitted with a 60-inch Wolf range, Bianca marble countertops, and skylights that bathe the space in natural light. The primary bedroom features floor-to-ceiling glass doors that provide sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills.
The estate also boasts vineyard-inspired gardens, a pool and spa area, and a separate guest space complete with its own kitchen and office, creating a property designed for both comfort and privacy throughout Evans’ more than a decade of living there.
Evans has been open about his reasons for leaving California. He fondly reminisced about his time in the home, acknowledging the beauty of the West Coast while explaining his desire to spend more time with family on the East Coast, where he grew up in Massachusetts.
This transition comes as Evans continues to build a life with his wife, actress Alba Baptista, whom he married in September 2023. For an actor whose career has taken him around the globe for over a decade of blockbuster filmmaking, moving closer to home seems to be the next significant step in his personal journey.
With the sale now complete, Evans officially closes a significant chapter of his time in Los Angeles, one that is deeply intertwined with the role that helped shape much of his career.
