‘Tires’ Season 4 Renewal Announced by Netflix
Shane Gillis has carved out a unique path in modern comedy, transforming a self-funded sitcom into one of Netflix’s most reliable workplace comedies. What started as a single pilot uploaded to YouTube in 2019 has evolved into a streaming sensation, and the show has just demonstrated that it still has plenty of fuel left in the tank.
‘Tires‘ centers on the chaotic team at Valley Forge Automotive Center, where anxious manager Will strives to keep the business afloat while his cousin Shane complicates every situation. Gillis, John McKeever, and Steve Gerben initially financed and produced the first six-episode season independently in Pennsylvania before Netflix took over distribution in 2024, eventually covering the costs for future seasons.
This gamble has clearly paid off. Netflix has renewed ‘Tires’ for a fourth season just weeks after Season 3 debuted on the platform, marking the show’s earliest post-premiere renewal yet.
Tracey Pakosta, Netflix’s vice president of U.S. comedy, attributed the swift renewal to the show’s consistency. “‘Tires’ continues to deliver the unapologetic comedy and authentic perspective that Shane, John, and Steve’s fans adore, and Season 3 achieving its highest-ever Top 10 ranking shows that this fandom is only growing,” she stated, according to Variety, expressing excitement for what’s next for the Valley Forge crew.

This Top 10 achievement isn’t just a talking point. Season 3 reached its highest position on Netflix’s Top 10 English TV list, indicating a significant increase in visibility for a show that began as a low-budget passion project. Gillis and McKeever kept their reactions to the renewal succinct, with Gillis simply noting it’s cool to make another season, while McKeever expressed genuine enthusiasm about continuing to collaborate with the team.
The cast has remained largely consistent since its 2024 premiere, featuring Gillis and Gerben alongside Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias, and Thomas Haden Church. Throughout its run, ‘Tires’ has also welcomed a rotating roster of recognizable guest stars, including Andrew Schulz, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Billy Magnussen, Bobby Lee, Dan Soder, and Garret Dillahunt, among others.
Season 3 elevated the stakes, with Valley Forge facing financial struggles and Will and Shane resorting to increasingly desperate measures to keep the shop operational. A pregnancy storyline introduced late in the season also set the stage for Shane’s character to undergo unexpected personal growth, potentially reshaping the dynamic between him and Will as Season 4 approaches.
While there’s no confirmed premiere date for the new season yet, fans will likely be on the lookout for updates as production details emerge. Given the swift renewal following Season 3’s release, it seems ‘Tires’ is not slowing down anytime soon.
