‘Elsbeth’ Season 4 Guest Stars Include Tony Winner and NBA Star
CBS’s uniquely engaging procedural has cultivated a dedicated fanbase, primarily due to its case-of-the-week structure. This format allows each episode to introduce new guest stars who often fall victim to Elsbeth Tascioni’s keen observational skills. This successful approach has been a hallmark of the show, and the upcoming fourth season is set to uphold that tradition with an exciting array of new faces.
Carrie Preston returns to headline the series as the brilliant yet delightfully quirky consent decree attorney, collaborating with the NYPD to apprehend New York’s most privileged murderers through her distinctive crime-solving intuition. Season 4 is expected to deliver fresh cases, ongoing family dynamics, and new challenges for both Elsbeth and the 11th Precinct, led by her superior, Captain C.W. Wagner, portrayed by Wendell Pierce.
Ahead of the season’s premiere on October 8, an exclusive report from Deadline has unveiled the first wave of guest stars, showcasing a diverse lineup from music, television, sports, and film. Confirmed to appear are Nicole Scherzinger, Nicholas Braun, New York Knicks star OG Anunoby, and Jemima Kirke, each set to make memorable contributions throughout the season.
Scherzinger, who won the 2025 Tony Award for her role in “Sunset Blvd” and is renowned as the frontwoman of the Pussycat Dolls, will feature in the Season 4 premiere. She will portray Serena Collyer, a well-known and highly compensated relationship counselor whose passionate affair with an ex-lover ultimately leads to a murder.
The other three guest stars will appear in episodes that will be announced later, though character details have already been disclosed. Braun, recognized for his role in “Succession,” will take on the character of Jeremy Perrick, the son of a famous American playwright who has spent his life overshadowed by his father’s illustrious legacy.
Kirke, known to fans of “Girls,” will play Winter Redgrave, the stylish CEO of a thriving lifestyle brand whose seemingly perfect world is disrupted when her sister threatens a corporate takeover. Anunoby will make a special cameo, marking an exciting crossover between the show and the professional basketball scene.
Behind the scenes, “Elsbeth” continues to thrive under the direction of executive producers Robert King, Michelle King, showrunner Jonathan Tolins, Erica Shelton Kodish, Bryan Goluboff, Gail Barringer, and Leah Nanako Winkler, with CBS Studios producing the series. This creative team has been instrumental in maintaining the show’s blend of clever mystery and character-driven humor since its inception.

“Elsbeth” is set to return as part of CBS’s 2026-2027 fall lineup, joining other renewed series like “Tracker,” “Matlock,” and “NCIS” as the network embarks on its new season. With additional guest casting announcements likely to emerge as the premiere date approaches, fans can anticipate more names being added to the lineup.
Given the show’s history of attracting notable talent for its rotating cast of characters, this latest group of guest stars fits perfectly within a pattern that has kept “Elsbeth” feeling fresh throughout its previous three seasons. Whether Scherzinger’s relationship counselor or Kirke’s troubled CEO will emerge as the season’s most unforgettable character remains to be seen once the new episodes air.
