Rudeus Greyrat’s world has taken a dark turn, and fans of ‘Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation’ are eagerly awaiting the next installment of this unsettling journey. Season 3 has been building tension, culminating in the appearance of a mysterious visitor claiming to be an older version of Rudeus, arriving at a critical moment.

With the schedule for the latter half of the season now confirmed, viewers can mark their calendars for the next episode, including details on where to stream it and the setup from the previous episode.

According to the episode tracker from Final Weapon, ‘Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation’ Season 3 Episode 13 is set to premiere on September 20, following Episode 12’s release on September 13. This keeps the show on its established Sunday release schedule since its debut in July.

New episodes have consistently been released at 4 a.m. Japan Standard Time, which translates to approximately 7 a.m. Eastern Time for North American viewers. Crunchyroll has maintained this release schedule throughout the season, providing fans with a reliable weekly experience compared to the variable timings of some seasonal anime.

The season is confirmed to have at least 14 episodes based on Blu-ray listings and AniList data, as reported by Otaku Apex. This positions Episode 13 in the final stretch of the season, with only Episode 14 anticipated before any potential hiatus.

Crunchyroll is the exclusive streaming platform for ‘Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation’ Season 3 across regions including North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, India, and Southeast Asia. Subtitled episodes are available shortly after they air in Japan on Tokyo MX and BS11.

English dub fans are also in luck, as Crunchyroll confirmed the Season 3 English dub in mid-July, launching it the same weekend. The dub airs weekly alongside the subtitled version, as reported by Otaku Apex. Madeleine Morris voices Rudeus, with Lindsay Seidel as Eris and Rachel Robinson as Ghislaine, under the direction of Jeremy Inman.

This means that whether viewers prefer the original Japanese performances or the English dub, they can enjoy both versions without waiting for a delayed release. Both have been synchronized since the season began.

Episode 11, titled ‘Turning Point 4,’ concluded the immediate aftermath of the trip to Perugius’s floating fortress and Nanahoshi’s treatment. The episode ended with the Human God reappearing and instructing Rudeus to check the basement of his own home, leading to an unexpected encounter.

Before Rudeus could descend, an older stranger claiming to be his future self halted him. According to Anime Corner’s coverage of the Episode 12 preview, this visitor warns Rudeus of the tragic events that are about to unfold and who is behind them.

Episode 12, titled ‘An End and a Beginning’ according to its Rotten Tomatoes listing, is where this warning is expected to be fully explored. Rather than featuring another large-scale battle, EpicFlix reports that this episode will focus on the older Rudeus’s claims and the impending disasters, setting a heavier, more psychological tone as we approach Episode 13.

This season has already become the longest single run in the franchise’s history, and the narrative tone has shifted accordingly. Fans who have been following ‘Mushoku Tensei’ since its 2021 debut are accustomed to Rudeus making mistakes and gradually evolving, but the introduction of a time-traveling version of himself has plunged the story into darker territory than previous arcs.

The ‘Turning Point’ title has fans on edge, as past episodes with this label have marked significant emotional and narrative shifts for Rudeus. With Episode 13 set to follow closely on the heels of the future Rudeus’s revelations, the pressure on the current version of Rudeus to make the right choices is mounting.

Given that the season is confirmed for at least 14 episodes and no official announcement has been made regarding a second cour, each remaining episode carries additional significance for viewers eager to see how much of this arc resolves before a potential break.

What do you think the future Rudeus is trying to avert, and does his warning alter your perspective on Rudeus’s decisions moving forward?
