‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Star Simone Ashley Dazzles in Champagne Satin Gown

Simone Ashley has a knack for turning a simple backdrop into a fashion statement. The ‘Bridgerton’ star is known for her polished yet daring style, and this week has been no exception.

Ashley kicked off the week in Milan, where she showcased a stunning Tod’s ensemble at Vogue World: Milano. She donned a mocha brown pinstripe suit paired with a matching chocolate button-up, casually carrying her jacket with rolled-up sleeves. Completing her office-chic look were small hoop earrings, a coordinating belt, a suede bag, and loafers, while her long dark hair flowed in soft waves.

A different vibe emerged later in the week when Film Updates shared a series of newly released photos of Ashley, captured by photographer Rebecca Spencer. The images feature her in a champagne satin halter gown set against a pristine white interior.

The gown is a stunning floor-length piece in a pale champagne-gold satin that catches the light beautifully. With a plunging halter neckline, the fabric gracefully hugs her figure, flowing elegantly to the floor. Ashley styled her jet-black hair long and center-parted with loose waves, opting for minimal accessories to let the dress shine.

This isn’t the first time Ashley has embraced this color palette. Back in July, she shared photos in a shimmering champagne gold halter-neck, backless dress, allowing her hair to cascade down to her waist while keeping jewelry minimal with just tiny earrings. Fans responded positively, and the photos also highlighted her back tattoo.

Ashley’s fashion credentials are impressive. At the London premiere of ‘F1: The Movie’, she wore a gold Balmain gown from the fall/winter 2025 collection, featuring a halter neckline and sculpted bodice. Prior to that, she made a statement in a pink Versace lingerie-style dress with a shredded train at the ‘Little Mermaid’ premiere, where she played one of Ariel’s sisters.

Her connection to Milan is strong as well. During last year’s Milan Fashion Week, she attended the EE72 Milan launch in a green silk and lace mini dress with delicate straps, opting for a minimalist approach. This week’s runway appearance adds another chapter to her fashion narrative, this time with a tailored, corporate-inspired outfit.

Ashley’s rise to fame is closely linked to her roles in ‘Sex Education’ and ‘Bridgerton’, and she is set to play Miranda’s newest assistant in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’. This makes her office-siren runway look a full-circle moment, as noted by Yahoo, since much of the trend draws inspiration from the original film.

The timing of these new photos is particularly fitting as Milan Fashion Week is currently in full swing. The Spring/Summer 2027 season runs from September 22 to 28, featuring Demna’s Gucci show and the debut of Moschino’s new creative directors on September 25, with Giorgio Armani closing the week on Sunday.

Whether the new photos were taken before or during her trip remains unclear, but they certainly add a fresh highlight to a busy week. Regardless, the gown serves as a soft contrast to the sharp tailoring she showcased on the runway.
