Tom Holland Encourages Fans to Experience New ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Footage in Theaters
Marvel Studios has been ramping up excitement for the theatrical return of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, utilizing every promotional channel to highlight the importance of the new footage included in the re-release. This campaign has now seen cast members personally urging fans to attend.
Tom Holland is the latest star to join this promotional wave, posting a behind-the-scenes image on his Instagram Story featuring himself with Brie Larson on set. Holland’s message was clear, urging fans to take action.
“Avengers Endgame is back in theatres with new footage. Make sure you check it out,” Holland wrote alongside the photo, adding his voice to a growing number of cast members and directors encouraging audiences to see ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore.’
This messaging aligns with the Russo brothers’ repeated comments about the significance of the re-release in relation to ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ Joe Russo has previously emphasized that the new footage in Encore is crucial for understanding the connection between the two films, illustrating that link for fans ahead of the December release.

The re-release features approximately four minutes of new content, including an extended final scene and three entirely new post-credits sequences that were not part of the original 2019 version. This footage was reportedly filmed during the production of ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ transforming the re-release into a narrative bridge rather than just a nostalgic revisit.
One addition extends the closing dance between Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter, which now continues beyond their kiss, only to be interrupted by a knock at the door revealing Loki in his post-‘Loki’ Season 2 Time Variance Authority outfit, seemingly addressing the timeline implications of Steve’s choice to stay in the past.
Another post-credits scene takes viewers to the Time Variance Authority, where Mobius, Casey, Ouroboros, and Miss Minutes discover that numerous universes are facing incursions, indicating a multiverse on the brink of collapse. Additionally, a sequence featuring Bruce Banner in an underground bunker after ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ leads to Doctor Doom breaking in and forcing Banner to transform into the Hulk.
The final piece of new footage may provide the most intriguing tease yet. The credits conclude with the same metallic hammering sound from the original ‘Endgame,’ now revealed to be Doctor Doom crafting his mask, echoing the sound Tony Stark made while building his first Iron Man suit.

This auditory connection draws a direct line between Robert Downey Jr.’s two MCU characters, highlighting Marvel’s intentional storytelling choices regarding his evolution from hero to villain. With cast members like Holland actively encouraging fans to experience the new footage on the big screen, Marvel’s marketing strategy seems focused on positioning ‘Endgame Encore’ as essential viewing rather than merely bonus content.
