Pedro Pascal, Dua Lipa, Kristen Wiig and Nicole Kidman Lip-Sync ADÉLA’s ‘Nicole Kidman’ at Chanel
Every so often, a song transcends the charts to become a significant cultural phenomenon. This fall, that song is ADÉLA’s ‘Nicole Kidman,’ a pop hit that has captivated millions, leading fans to recreate it on TikTok for weeks.
The Slovak singer unveiled the music video for her single on September 4, coinciding with the release of her debut album, ‘PRIMA.’ Since its launch, the track has surged up the charts, sparked a viral trend honoring the Oscar-winning actress, and infiltrated some of the most prestigious fashion events.
The most notable moment occurred during Paris Fashion Week. At Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Dua Lipa, and Nicole Kidman herself participated in a video set to ADÉLA’s catchy tune, which has already garnered over 1.8 million views on Pop Crave’s post alone.
In the brief clip, Pascal gazes directly into the camera, sporting dark-framed glasses, a textured brown jacket, and a black turtleneck, with the venue’s stone steps as a backdrop. The group lip-syncs to the song, and fans quickly shared their favorite lines, with one viral post humorously commenting on Pascal’s performance.

Additional footage from the evening, captured by Variety, shows Pascal and Lipa conversing while Kidman danced to Britney Spears’ ‘Gimme More.’ Another TikTok video features Lipa, Pascal, Demi, and Kidman singing ‘Take on Me’ together, much to ADÉLA’s delight.
The statistics reveal why the song has become so ubiquitous. According to Billboard, it reached No. 3 on the Global 200 chart for the week of October 3, with 32.5 million streams worldwide in just one week, and it climbed to No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
It also peaked at No. 2 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart on September 21, with another ADÉLA track, ‘Ain’t in LA,’ at No. 3 that same day. WWD reports that the song has amassed over 78 million streams on Spotify and 2.5 million shares on TikTok.
ADÉLA’s journey is equally remarkable. The 22-year-old, whose full name is Adéla Jergová, made history earlier this summer when ‘Ain’t in LA’ marked her as the first Slovak artist to enter the Billboard Hot 100, and ‘PRIMA’ debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
The song was inspired by a night when ADÉLA attended a Golden Globes event, dressed in a tight corset and feeling like a movie star. After watching ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ for the first time, she became enamored with Kidman, whom she idolizes as the quintessential movie star.
The music video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, incorporates elements from ‘Eyes Wide Shut,’ ‘Moulin Rouge!,’ ‘Birth,’ and ‘Babygirl,’ along with references to Kidman’s iconic AMC cinema advertisement.
Kidman has embraced the tribute. At the London premiere of ‘Practical Magic 2,’ she acknowledged knowing who ADÉLA was and expressed her intention to see her perform in Nashville. The following day, she made her TikTok debut using ‘Ain’t in LA.’ On ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ she praised the video for referencing many of her films, including some she admitted she could barely recall.
The song’s influence extends far beyond the music charts. At the Portola Music Festival, an American Sign Language interpreter’s animated performance of the track during ADÉLA’s set became an instant sensation on social media.
Now, the song has transitioned from fan cover videos to the front row of a Chanel show, with Kidman herself joining in. It’s hard to imagine a more significant indication that a pop tribute has truly made its mark.
