Nicole Kidman consistently captivates audiences at Paris Fashion Week, especially when Chanel is on display. Her connection to the brand is strong, having been named a Chanel brand ambassador last October.

This season, the Oscar-winning actress was a highlight at one of the week’s most anticipated events. Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 show took place at the Grand Palais on Monday, October 5, marking a year since artistic director Matthieu Blazy’s debut.

Kidman turned heads in an oversized grey blazer dress crafted from the house’s iconic tweed, adorned with gold buttons. She paired it with sheer black stockings, black pumps, a burgundy bag, and her long curtain-fringe hair, quickly becoming a topic of conversation online as photos of her on the carpet circulated.

The double-breasted design, which stops high on the thigh, garnered immediate attention for its menswear-inspired silhouette. Reality Tea credited celebrity stylist Jason Bolden for the look, noting its blend of classic French elegance with a contemporary twist, while theFashionSpot highlighted how it showcased the tweed craftsmanship without the need for trousers.

Kidman appeared relaxed and playful, blowing kisses to fans. In various photos, she posed with her hands on her hips, capturing a moment mid-smile with her eyes closed.

She was not alone at the event. Kidman attended with her 15-year-old daughter, Faith Margaret, who wore jeans, heeled pumps, and a charcoal cardigan that complemented her mother’s outfit.

This marked Faith’s second appearance in Paris in as many days, having watched her older sister Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban walk in the Valentino show the day prior. The family outings are becoming a delightful trend, as Kidman and her daughters previously attended Chanel’s pre-Oscars party together in March.

Kidman was surrounded by a star-studded front row that resembled a film festival guest list. Among the attendees were Dua Lipa, Pedro Pascal, Alexa Demie, Marion Cotillard, Kristen Wiig, Sandra Hüller, and Caroline de Maigret.

Demie sat next to Kidman in a custom iridescent red-pink quilted skirt suit, while Lipa dazzled in a feathered red floral ensemble from the Cruise 2026/27 collection. Throughout the show, Kidman and Lipa were reportedly seen dancing in their seats, enjoying a soundtrack that concluded with Britney Spears’s ‘Gimme More.’

The soundtrack also featured Kidman herself, who read excerpts from Virginia Woolf’s ‘Orlando’ and ‘To the Lighthouse,’ a nod to her Oscar-winning role as the author, according to WWD.

The collection, titled ‘Free as a Bird,’ transformed the Grand Palais into a whimsical setting with nearly 100 birds suspended from the ceiling, a massive moon, and a multicolored glass floor. Blazy drew inspiration from Gabrielle Chanel’s life, exploring the various women she embodied, from a young woman in restrictive Edwardian corsetry to the designer who liberated women with her suits.

Classic tweed suits and a return to knee-length skirts anchored the runway, with the show opening and closing featuring model Dyanira Hurbuscher carrying Gabrielle Chanel’s own 2.55 handbag from the archives. Critics noted that Blazy has found his footing a year into his role.

Kidman’s appearance at Chanel also followed another viral moment from the same evening. Footage captured her, Pascal, Lipa, and Wiig participating in a lip-sync video to ADÉLA’s hit ‘Nicole Kidman,’ which has since gone viral on social media.

With the stunning tweed, lively front-row dancing, and cherished family moments, Kidman truly embraced her time in Paris.
