‘Deep Water’ Star Ana de Armas Dazzles in Louis Vuitton Archive Dress at Paris Fashion Week
Paris in October transforms the entertainment scene into a dazzling front-row experience, and few stars navigate this circuit as expertly as Ana de Armas. Her latest Louis Vuitton ensemble serves as a testament to why the brand cherishes her as an ambassador.
Having represented the brand for years, de Armas was named a face of the jewelry line in 2023 and recently starred in the 2026 Color Blossom fine jewelry campaign.

For Paris Fashion Week, de Armas revisited the archives, donning a stunning black sequin micro minidress from Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2015 collection, styled by Samantha McMillen.
She first showcased this dress at the Palais de l’Élysée, where Louis Vuitton’s artistic director, Nicolas Ghesquière, was honored with the insignia of Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur by French President Emmanuel Macron. This archival choice felt like a heartfelt tribute to the designer just ahead of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2027 show.

The close-up photos she shared highlight the dress’s long sleeves, high neckline, and subtly structured shoulders, creating a polished and modern silhouette. One image captures the sequins shimmering in the light, reflecting the dress’s exquisite craftsmanship.
The styling team allowed the dress to shine. Owen Gould styled her hair in soft waves, while makeup artist Charlotte Prevel enhanced her look with a luminous complexion, subtle liner, and nude gloss.
De Armas opted for minimal accessories, focusing on the dress’s shimmering texture and sharp tailoring. She completed the ensemble with simple black pumps and a Louis Vuitton clutch.
This design boasts a notable red carpet history, as Jennifer Connelly wore the same Spring 2015 dress in 2014. Observers have noted that it still feels relevant 12 years later, showcasing the timeless appeal of this archival piece.
The ceremony was just one highlight during a busy few days for de Armas. On Monday night, she attended a private Louis Vuitton dinner in Paris alongside stars like Emma Stone, Chloë Grace Moretz, Sophie Thatcher, the Haim sisters, and Jaden Smith.
The fashion show followed on October 6, where Ghesquière transformed the Louvre courtyard into a road-themed set, featuring branded cars and painted traffic markings. De Armas was seen with her boyfriend, Venezuelan singer Beto Montenegro, as they made their way to the event.
This isn’t her first sparkling moment with the brand. At the 2023 Oscars, she dazzled in a sequin-encrusted Louis Vuitton gown, reminiscent of the iconic dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in 1962, coinciding with her Best Actress nomination for ‘Blonde’.
The pattern is clear: when de Armas seeks to make a statement, she gravitates towards texture, favoring sequins and sculpted shoulders over loud prints or heavy jewelry.
Fans have responded enthusiastically online, and it’s easy to see why the black sequin choice stands out. It exudes glamour without being overdone, while the loose waves and soft makeup maintain a relaxed vibe. The mini length, long sleeves, and structured shoulders strike a balance between sex appeal and vintage elegance.
This look also aligns perfectly with the season’s trends. Leather, strong shoulders, and dramatic necklines have been prevalent among celebrity attendees at Paris Fashion Week, and de Armas’s archival piece fits seamlessly into that narrative while retaining a personal touch.
For de Armas, this choice reflects her fashion philosophy. Rather than chasing the latest runway trends, she selects designs with a story, allowing them to speak for themselves.
