Burger King Launches ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ Menu on May 4 With Exciting Items
Fast food chains frequently capitalize on significant pop culture moments to introduce limited-time menus, especially when a major film is on the horizon.
These collaborations typically blend beloved characters and themed packaging with standard menu offerings, generating a brief wave of excitement among fans. They are usually available for a limited duration, making them feel more like an event rather than a regular menu update.
According to a news release from Burger King, a new themed menu is set to debut in the United States as part of a promotion linked to the upcoming film ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’. The launch is scheduled for May 4, recognized as Star Wars Day, and will be available for a limited time at participating locations.
This promotion is tied to the broader Star Wars universe, specifically highlighting characters from the Disney+ series ‘The Mandalorian’. The campaign also builds excitement for the new movie focused on the Mandalorian and Grogu, which is set to hit theaters later this month.
The menu features several themed items inspired by the characters and the universe of the story. One standout item is the BBQ Bounty Whopper, presented in special packaging and featuring classic burger ingredients such as cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and BBQ sauce. Another treat is the Grogu’s Blue Cookie Shake, combining soft serve with blue cookie flavoring and topped with cookie pieces.
Savory options include Grogu’s Garlic Chicken Fries, seasoned and served with a garlic dipping sauce, and Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots, which blend cheese, potatoes, and ranch seasoning in themed packaging. Collectible cups are also available with certain combo meals and bundles.
Joel Yashinsky, chief marketing officer for Burger King U.S. & Canada, shared insights about the collaboration, stating, “From themed packaging to bold, flavor-forward menu items, this is our way of celebrating an iconic new film with the iconic flame-grilled taste only Burger King can deliver.”
In addition to the main menu, a kids’ meal option is included in the promotion. The “Mandalorian and Grogu King Jr. Meal” offers choices like a hamburger or chicken nuggets, along with sides such as apple sauce and fries. Drinks include milk or apple juice, and each meal comes with a themed toy based on the characters.
The movie central to this promotion is set to premiere in theaters on May 22, featuring Pedro Pascal as the Mandalorian and Sigourney Weaver in a supporting role.
This collaboration illustrates how major franchises continue to extend their reach beyond film and television into food promotions and retail experiences. For fans, it offers another avenue to engage with the story’s universe while anticipating the film’s release.
