Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to be the next big MCU entry and after several failures with the First Family, Marvel is finally hoping to land a major movie that could set the foundations for a proper series in the future.

The movie is filled with some big names, and based on everything we know, it is going to be a great movie, but we’ll have to wait and see how the audience responds to the movie.

And while we’re waiting, two comic book legends with ties to the Fantastic Four franchise have praised the upcoming movie recently.

Chip Zdarsky and Ryan North have a very close connection to the Fantastic Four franchise. Zdarsky is known as the author of the acclaimed Fantastic Four/X-Men series, while North is the current writer of the mainline series.

Both of them were guests at a podcast recently, in which they talked about the upcoming movie from a comic book writer’s perspective, praising the movie for its respect of the comic books and their legacy.

“There’s just a feeling on the set of care and imagination. That just feels unlike any other movie I’ve ever encountered, whether it be Marvel or otherwise,” they said during the talk.

“You can see the thought that went into the technology of the set design. That’s something, to me, feels great. All of the details match up with the story they’re trying to tell,” they added.

As said, it remains to be seen how the audiences accept the movie, but these comments are once again proof that Marvel is headed into the right direction with this movie, and we hope that the fans will embrace it as well!
