Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry Reveal First Look as Artemis and Zoë Nightshade in ‘Percy Jackson’ Season 3
Disney+’s ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians‘ has been diligently expanding its adaptation of Rick Riordan’s cherished book series over two seasons, adding new cast members with each installment of Percy’s demigod journey.
This expansion continued last summer when the series announced two significant new cast members for its forthcoming third season, with their first official images unveiled at this weekend’s D23 event after much anticipation.
Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry, who were first confirmed for their roles back in August 2025, took the stage at D23 alongside the rest of the cast, providing fans with their first look at Keen as Artemis and Chaudry as Zoë Nightshade. The images shared during the panel show Keen in a pale hooded cloak with a bow slung over her shoulder, while Chaudry is seen in a fur-trimmed, armored outfit that reflects Nightshade’s identity as an ancient warrior.
Season 3 will adapt ‘The Titan’s Curse,’ the third book in Riordan’s original series, focusing on Percy, Grover, and their fellow campers at Camp Half-Blood as they race to rescue Annabeth and the goddess Artemis from the Titan Atlas. According to Artemis’s character description, she values the freedom of nature over the politics of Olympus, maintaining a regal demeanor while her limited interactions with mortals leave her somewhat disconnected from contemporary human culture.
Chaudry’s Zoë Nightshade is depicted as Artemis’s devoted lieutenant and the foremost among her immortal Hunters, having stood by the goddess’s side for over 2,000 years. She is characterized as a formidable warrior who may seem overly serious, often amusing the demigods around her. Nightshade is expected to play a vital role in the quest throughout the season, ready to make sacrifices for the greater good.
Keen and Chaudry are not the only new faces joining the cast for Season 3. Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie will portray siblings Nico and Bianca di Angelo, while Hubert Smielecki will take on the role of Apollo and Kate McKinnon will join as Aphrodite. Ming-Na Wen is also set to join the cast as Hera, complementing a lineup that includes returning stars Walker Scobell as Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover.

Both Keen and Chaudry have substantial experience with Disney. Keen is known for her role as Laura/X-23 in ‘Logan’ and has reprised the character in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ in addition to starring in the Disney+ series ‘The Acolyte.’ Chaudry has appeared in Disney+ productions such as ‘The Muppets Mayhem’ and ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society.’
Season 3 has been in production in Vancouver since receiving an early renewal ahead of Season 2’s December premiere, a move made to prevent the young cast from aging out of their roles too quickly. With a new trailer also confirmed to have premiered alongside these first-look images at D23, excitement for the season continues to grow, even as an official release date is yet to be announced.
With both previous seasons available for streaming on Disney+, fans have ample time to catch up before Percy’s next adventure unfolds. With the new cast announcements, returning favorites, and a fresh trailer to analyze, Season 3 is shaping up to be the most ambitious chapter of the series yet.
