Daredevil Meets Spider-Man at Disneyland Paris: Charlie Cox Poses With Spidey
Marvel enthusiasts have long wondered when ‘Daredevil’ and ‘Spider-Man’ might finally share the screen in a significant way. While that hasn’t occurred in live action yet, a unique crossover has just taken place. Charlie Cox, who portrays Matt Murdock, was recently photographed shaking hands with Spider-Man in a delightful theme park setting.
Cox has embodied Matt Murdock, also known as ‘Daredevil’, since 2015, starting with the Netflix series ‘Daredevil’. He has reprised his role in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’, and ‘Echo’, and he is set to star in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’. This extensive history makes any image of Cox with Spider-Man feel like a special nod to fans.
Recently, Disneyland Paris shared photos of the actor meeting the web-slinger at Avengers Campus, which were posted by Cosmic Marvel on X. In one image, Cox stands with his arms crossed in a dark T-shirt, grinning alongside a Spider-Man who mirrors his pose. In another, the duo shakes hands in front of a giant spider-emblem backdrop, with Cox dressed casually in shorts and sneakers.

The park’s caption humorously noted that even the best lawyers need a vacation sometimes, playfully suggesting that Cox, as Daredevil, took a break during his trip to meet Spider-Man. This serves as a nod to Matt Murdock’s day job and highlights how rarely the two heroes have shared a moment together.
Avengers Campus opened at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris in 2022, allowing guests to meet heroes like Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel. Its main attractions include Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure and Avengers Assemble: Flight Force. The Hero Training Center provides closer encounters with Spider-Man and other Avengers, likely where this memorable photo opportunity occurred.
The timing is particularly exciting as Cox’s Daredevil is set to team up with Spider-Man in a different format. He will reprise his role as the voice of Matt Murdock in season 2 of ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’, the animated Disney+ series that exists in an MCU-adjacent universe. A teaser revealed a comics-accurate red suit for Daredevil, and season 1 already showcased a rooftop battle between the two heroes.
The live-action scenario has been less fulfilling. Daredevil does not appear in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, despite the presence of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher and the Hand. Cox had previously denied a return, and TheWrap confirmed that there is no mention of him in the film. Additionally, Rosario Dawson has mentioned filming a scene for the movie that was ultimately cut.
This leaves fans with an unresolved question. In ‘No Way Home’, Matt only interacted with Peter as his lawyer, and the characters have yet to don their superhero suits together on the big screen.
This news comes shortly after ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ was renewed for a final third season, as reported by TheWrap, which stated it will premiere on Disney+ in 2027. Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones are set to reprise their roles as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in the upcoming season, reviving the Netflix-era crossover ‘The Defenders’.
This conclusion has sparked speculation about Cox’s next steps. Nerdist suggested it could lead to a fifth Spider-Man movie, a Marvel Special Presentation, or another Disney+ project, indicating that Marvel is unlikely to put Daredevil on the shelf for long. For now, this cheerful photo at Avengers Campus keeps the conversation alive.
Cox has expressed his enjoyment of the character, and the vacation photos indicate he is comfortable engaging with the excitement. It serves as a reminder that in the Marvel universe, even a theme park snapshot can feel like a teaser.
