Disney Characters That Start With P: Iconic Names
‘P’ for Pacha, ‘P’ for Penny, and ‘P’ for Pumbaa, let’s have a quick look over all the great Disney characters that have names starting with ‘P’!
1. Pacha (The Emperor’s New Groove)
Often seen in his large green poncho, Pacha is the village leader and is a farmer and has to deal with demands of Emperor Kuzco, who wants to level the entire village for a construction project.
2. Pain (Hercules)
Part of the demonic duo of Pain and Panic, they work for Hades and are shapeshifters. Not overly thrilled about being indebted to Hades, likely he owns their souls, they begrudgingly help him with his evil schemes.
Pain is the fatter, shorter and very purple version of the two. While possessing some intelligence, his lack of foresight tends to be his downfall.
3. Panchito Romero Miguel Junipero Francisco Quintero González III (The Three Caballeros)
A gun-toting, outgoing chicken, he is part of the trio with Donald Duck and José Carioca.
He likes to hit up anyone he can for some cash to fund his dreams of being a musician, but is also very useful in sticky situations due to his bravery and quick thinking.
4. Panic (Hercules)
The other half of Hades’ demonic minion duo, Panic is a thin green-blue imp and has long horns.
Due to his personality, he tends to think things through a little bit more than Pain, but his tendency to get surprised easily messes up any careful planning that was done.
5. Pascal (Tangled)
Rapunzel’s pet chameleon, he looks out for Rapunzel as best he can. After losing his mother to a snake attack, he climbed Rapunzel’s tower but was bitten by the snake again and died, only to be saved by Rapunzel’s healing hair.
Although unable to speak, his expressive face and impressive pantomime skills are more than enough to give counsel to Rapunzel.
6. Patch (101 Dalmatians)
Being the most recognizable of the original 15 puppies, he is easily the most outgoing and boisterous of the young dogs, often barking at the television and answering back to his parents when they tell him to do something.
He has achieved some pretty terrific feats in his short life, including being a spy, driving a London bus, meeting his hero Thunderbolt and improvising an item into a trampoline to escape from a desperate situation.
7. Paul (Soul)
The epitome of a negative Nancy, he is always bullying Joe due to his own securities.
A loser himself, Joe knows better than to listen to someone that has nothing nice to say. He accidentally falls through a portal meant for Joe, and Terry takes the opportunity to teach him a lesson and he’s never seen again.
8. Forgetter Paula (Inside Out)
Running the Forgetting crew with Bobby, she appears as a small aqua-colored blob with black stick legs and arms. As a Mind Worker, she has to help keep the memory functioning by deleting old or obsolete memories.
The system they use to determine what memories should be kept results in their favorite gum commercial constantly being replayed for Headquarters.
9. Peach (Finding Nemo)
A pink starfish, she was purchased by the dentist and now resides in his fish tank. With the ability to read, she also has a terrific set of eyes that the Tank Gang use to monitor the dentist and learn his routine.
For some reason, she is very interested and protective of Nemo, being one of the few to stand up for him and ensure he’s OK.
10. Pearl (Finding Nemo)
A tiny pink octopus, like Hank, is missing a tentacle.
In the same class as Nemo, she sees the boat and divers and inks herself.
11. Pearl Gesner (Home on the Range)
Owner of the Little Patch of Heaven farm, she takes good care of the animals under her care but due to the actions of a cattle rustler, she is being forced to come good on her debts.
When some of her cows go missing, she is shown to be highly distressed but it turns out that the cows actually left on their own volition to try and save the farm.
12. Peas-in-a-Pod (Toy Story 3)
One of Bonnie’s toys, there are three peas called Peatey, Peatrice and Peanelope inside the pod.
The peas and the pod are plushie toys, and help out Woody despite not knowing him that well.
13. Pedro (Lady and the Tramp)
A Chihuahua, Pedro has a slender body with a distinctive dark brown tuft of hair on his head. First seen at the dog pound, he seems friendly enough although doesn’t speak English very well.
14. Peg (Lady and the Tramp)
A mix that is likely part Spaniel, she is a pound dog that Tramp rescues from the dogcatcher, but she ends up getting caught again later. She is friendly to Lady.
15. Pegasus (Hercules)
Hercules’ personal steed, he is the horse of legend with an upright mane. He’s not the brightest of companions but does possess superb speed, strength, and also has great reactions.
He’ll do anything to help Hercules and is his faithful companion, although sometimes slightly jealous when characters take Hercules’ attention, like Megara.
16. Sir Pellinore (The Sword in the Stone)
A knight under the control of Uther Pendragon, he is an old acquaintance of Sir Ector and a reserved character, perhaps due to his age.
A man seemingly unaware he has a mustache, he’s often getting food and drink on it, causing him to react violently.
Generally against a king Kay, he stands up for Arthur and has him pull the sword out in front of everyone, proving he is the next king instead.
17. Penny (101 Dalmatians)
Having the fewest spots of all the puppies, Penny is one of the few female pups and gets spoiled accordingly. She has very small spots on her body.
18. Penny (The Rescuers)
A young girl with big dreams, she goes up against Medusa’s crocodile minions and shows fearlessness even in the face of a gun.
With hair pulled back in pigtails, she has a purple dress and hopes to be adopted someday.
19. Pepa Madrigal (Encanto)
Her magical gifts allow her to control the weather, and she often uses this power unintentionally when she gets emotional.
Being Mirabel’s aunt, she appears frequently but sometimes goes a bit overboard with her reactions to non-issues.
20. Percy (Pocahontas)
Governor Ratcliffe’s Pug, he is very spoiled in terms of luxury goods, but isn’t taken care of emotionally by the governor at all.
This neglect leads him to leave and become friends with Pocahontas.
He has dark round circles around his eyes and a blue collar.
21. Perdita (101 Dalmatians)
Mother of the 15 puppies, she is Pongo’s mate and has a blue collar.
She is a well-mannered, ladylike dog which is quite the contrast to Pongo. Tending to panic in important situations, she nonetheless will do anything to protect her family.
22. Perla (Cinderella)
Part of the troupe of mice who help Cinderella prepare for the ball, they are eternally grateful to her for saving many of them from the cat, Lucifer.
Often clad in purple and pink, she is often seen wearing a dress with an apron.
23. Peter Pan (Peter Pan)
With his green tunic and dagger, Peter Pan can often be seen flying around and fighting Captain Hook.
Not being affected by time, he spends forever in a state of adolescence as he leads the Lost Boys.
24. Petunia Robinson (Meet the Robinsons)
A wooden hand puppet controlled by Fritz, it’s likely that due to the loss of his wife, Fritz has gone into a bit of a fragile mental state.
Petunia seems to be a good substitute for his wife and is normally in a green smock with bright red hair.
25. Philoctetes (Hercules)
Known as Phil, he is a satyr, being half goat and half man.
Responsible for training heroes, his track record is not that great but he did have a lot of success with Hercules and other great heroes such as Odysseus, Perseus and Achilles.
Zeus’ threats also probably motivated him a lot to do his best efforts with Hercules. While he often loses his patience, he does have the best intentions, even if that’s to secure his own legacy.
26. Prince Phillip (Sleeping Beauty)
The son of King Hubert and reluctantly betrothed to King Stefan’s daughter, Aurora, his heart is not in the right place as he actually loves a woman he came across in the forest, who is a commoner.
It turns out, however, that the commoner is actually Aurora, who was taken to a cottage by the three fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather to protect her from Maleficent’s curse.
27. Phoebus (The Hunchback of Notre-Dame)
A dashing knight ordered to rid the kingdom of gypsies by Judge Claude Frollo, he sets about his task only for his righteousness to change his mind.
He falls for Esmeralda and eventually disobeys orders and fights for the liberation of the Romani people. He is a tall, strong warrior with blonde hair and is often seen in his gold armor.
28. Piglet (Winnie-the-Pooh)
An anthropomorphic stuffed piglet, he wears a distinctive striped pink top. Calling Piglet timid is an understatement, he is likely the most nervous and scared friend in the Disney universe.
He loves to keep his house clean, mainly because going outside scares him and his home is his safe space.
29. Ping (Turning Red)
One of the aunties, Ping, is the daughter of Wu and is often seen in her large black glasses. She can transform into a red panda but it requires her jade ring to be destroyed.
30. Pinocchio (Pinocchio)
Created by Geppetto and turned into a human by the Blue Fairy, he relies on Jiminy H Cricket to navigate the confusing world he’s been thrust into.
Like a young boy, Pinocchio is very cheeky and ignorant, often getting himself into trouble although generally through no fault of his own.
Eventually he shows that he has become human by rescuing his father from the murderous whale Monstro.
His nose will grow when he tells a lie, and will shrink when he tells the truth. While a puppet, he is invulnerable and can even survive underwater.
31. Pinuccia Aragosta (Luca)
A sea monster in disguise alongwith Concetta, she is quite a grumpy lady and is not scared to hit people with her purse, umbrella or whatever else she has on hand.
32. Agent Wendy Pleakley (Lilo and Stitch)
Jumba Jookiba’s partner, he was formerly part of the Galactic Federation but now forced to assist per the Grand Councilwoman’s order in capturing Stitch.
A cyclops with a noodle-thin body often dressed in blue regalia, he is an Earth expert but often finds himself in a total muddle trying to work out what to do next.
33. Pluto (The Chain Gang)
A dog that doesn’t have much in the way of anthropomorphic characteristics, while initially a nameless character, he was reinvented as Mickey Mouse’s dog.
With enough brains to get out of even the stickiest situation, he is a loyal dog that assists Mickey and uses his various abilities, like amazing sense of smell to sniff out the bad guys or clues.
34. Pocahontas (Pocahontas)
The daughter of Chief Powhatan, she falls in love with an English settler named John Smith.
Realizing that the brewing war between the natives and settlers is coming, she attempts to broker peace between the two.
Pocahontas is officially the seventh Disney princess.
35. Pongo (101 Dalmatians)
The father of the puppies, he belongs to Roger Radcliffe. Unlike his mate, Pongo is very relaxed about life.
However, Pongo does take his duties as a father seriously, and when Cruella De Vil’s plan comes clear to him he stops at nothing to get his puppies back.
36. Mr Potato Head (Toy Story)
Spouting off with a typical New York accent, he has a variety of appendages that can change his facial expressions and ability to store unused ones in a pouch.
He is cynical and rude, although he cares for his wife greatly and will help his friends when they really need it.
37. Mrs Potato Head (Toy Story 2)
Bringing a lot of calm to Mr Potato Head, she adopts the three green aliens.
Often chastising Mr Potato Head, she finds out the key information that Andy did not abandon the toys but instead it was all a misunderstanding, making the toys go to Bonnie Anderson.
38. Mrs Potts (Beauty and the Beast)
Formerly the castle’s head housekeeper, she is a teapot and often plays quite the motherly role amongst the others. While she can be stern, she is also willing to be nurturing and gentle, helping others get through tough times.
39. Powhatan (Pocahontas)
The chief of the tribe, he is against the settlers but has his heart changed by Pocahontas.
40. Preston B Whitmore (Atlantis)
Milo’s grandfather’s friend from way back, he finances the expedition with his millions with the goal of finding the lost continent of Atlantis.
41. The Prince (Snow White)
A young and handsome prince, he is Snow White’s love interest.
42. Mr Pricklepants (Toy Story 3)
A stuffed hedgehog, he is the leader of Bonnie’s toys and tries to warn Woody about Lotso.
43. P T Flea (A Bug’s Life)
The leader of the circus troupe, he is quite greedy and willing to do anything for money.
44. Pumbaa (The Lion King)
A warthog who can’t stop eating, he is best friends with Timon and helps Simba.
