Emily Cooper has captivated audiences for six years, blending charm, frustration, and delight as she navigates her marketing role in Paris, making ‘Emily in Paris’ one of Netflix’s most popular global hits. The series has thrived on its mix of office rivalries at Agence Grateau and a rotating cast of love interests, all wrapped in a fantasy of European escapism, high fashion, and romantic drama.

Now, this journey is approaching its end. Netflix announced back in May that the sixth season would be the series’ final chapter, and since then, details about this farewell season have been closely guarded while production took place across various countries.

The wait is finally over, as Netflix has officially scheduled ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 6 to premiere on Christmas Eve, December 24. All 10 episodes will be released simultaneously, accompanied by a fresh set of first-look photos that preview Emily’s last European adventure. This season expands beyond the familiar Parisian backdrop to include stunning locations in Greece and Monaco, with new images showcasing Emily on a sun-soaked Greek beach in a vibrant red-and-white outfit, alongside quieter moments like a heartfelt chat with Mindy on a Parisian bench.

Series creator and showrunner Darren Star shared insights into the decision to broaden the show’s geographical scope for its conclusion. He aimed to make the final season the most expansive ‘Emily in Paris’ experience yet, highlighting Greece’s beauty as a key element of the show’s allure of effortless European travel.

This trip to Greece carries significant narrative weight leading into the finale. Season 5 concluded with Gabriel, portrayed by Lucas Bravo, inviting Emily to join him in the Greek waters after discovering her newfound single status, reigniting their long-standing will-they-won’t-they tension. The official logline for the season hints that Emily will embark on “a new era of ambition and romance,” facing choices that challenge her loyalties and forcing her to choose between her career, her heart, and the life she has built in Paris.

Mindy, played by Ashley Park, is also heading into a complex storyline. After accepting a proposal from Nico during a trip to Venice, she finds herself torn between that engagement and her lingering feelings for Alfie, portrayed by Lucien Laviscount, setting the stage for one last love triangle before the series concludes.

The returning cast includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie Grateau, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Bruno Gouery as Luc, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, Minnie Driver as Princess Jane, and Paul Forman as Nico, giving dedicated fans one final chance to see the complete Agence Grateau ensemble together. Additional executive producers for the final season include Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Alison Brown, Robin Schiff, Grant Sloss, Joe Murphy, Stephen Brown, Ryan McCormick, and Raphaël Benoliel.

Production for the season began in Greece back in May and continued in France through at least mid-September, marking one of the show’s most ambitious shoots as it wraps up its run.

For a series that has turned European daydreaming into must-watch television over six seasons, concluding with a holiday release feels appropriate, offering fans one last binge-worthy journey through Emily’s stylish and chaotic world before the credits roll for good.
