‘Fortnite’ Has Added a Darth Vader AI that Will Be Able to Talk to You in the Game

Namely, as Disney has officially reported, a Darth Vader AI character is coming to Fortnite, and it will have a chat function, meaning that it will be able to communicate with you in the game.
“James Earl felt that the voice of Darth Vader was inseparable from the story of Star Wars, and he always wanted fans of all ages to continue to experience it. We hope that this collaboration with Fortnite will allow both longtime fans of Darth Vader and newer generations to share in the enjoyment of this iconic character,” the family of James Earl Jones said.

These are some videos showing the footage in question, and as you can see, it is quite authentic in terms of the quality of the voice, which is something that fans might find disturbing, especially if they’re not fans of AI.
The use of AI in video games has been controversial, and the current SAG-AFTRA strike among voice actors and motion capture artists is taking place exactly because of the unrestricted and potentially harmful use of AI in the gaming industry.
