Paris Fashion Week is about much more than just the runway. The Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear shows are taking place from Sept. 28 to Oct. 6, and the surrounding parties often attract just as many stars. Few hosts in the fashion world boast a guest list as sought after as Edward Enninful’s.

Enninful, the former editor-in-chief of British Vogue and founder of EE72, began his illustrious career as the fashion director of i-D at just 18, making him the youngest person to hold such a position at a major international fashion publication. His company, EE72, is a media and entertainment venture that kicked off with a four-city world tour of parties, culminating last year in Paris at Le Grand Café.

This year’s Paris event showcased a standout look from one of its attendees. HQCelebCorner shared photos on X on Oct. 3 of Emmy Rossum arriving at Enninful’s Fashion Week party in Paris on Oct. 2, describing her all-black ensemble as sleek. She was spotted outside at night, donning dark sunglasses and letting her voluminous dark curls flow, with a crowd of admirers behind her.

Her outfit is a masterclass in black styling. Rossum wore a fitted black top with a sheer mesh V-neck panel, tucked into a black leather mini skirt featuring a subtle logo at the waist. She completed her look with black knee-high boots and a simple watch, creating a striking contrast between the soft jersey, glossy leather, and transparent details that prevent the monochrome from appearing flat.

The post did not specify a designer or mention who else was present, allowing Rossum’s look to speak for itself. It represents a refined, evening-appropriate interpretation of Fashion Week attire, suitable for both a dinner and a party.

Black has been a recurring theme for Rossum recently. At the 2026 Emmy Awards, she presented the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series award alongside Alan Cumming, wearing a stunning black Julie de Libran couture gown adorned with lace and a tiered skirt. This look further solidified her growing relationship with the French label, although Tom + Lorenzo critiqued the dress as overdesigned.

Her fashion sense has evolved significantly over the years. W Magazine highlights that Rossum has transitioned from pastel-hued ingenue to a fashion risk-taker, embracing structured silhouettes, revealing sheers, and bold colors. A black leather skirt paired with a sheer panel fits seamlessly into this more mature, avant-garde evolution.

There’s much to celebrate in her career at the moment. Her Hulu series ‘Furious,’ where she portrays FBI agent Alice Black, premiered on July 27 and was renewed for a second season in August. Rossum also serves as an executive producer, with NPR describing the show as an unforgettable thriller that transcends a mere remake of ‘Black Widow.’

This marks a significant departure from the ingenue roles that first catapulted her to fame. Now, as an actor, producer, and style icon, she confidently steps into a Parisian party wearing a leather mini skirt and boots, effortlessly commanding attention. With Fashion Week continuing through Oct. 6, we can expect many more memorable nights like this one.
