Hailey Bieber has established herself as the queen of the ultra-chic going-out dress, but her latest venture is rooted in something much more disciplined: 12 years of ballet training. This background serves as the foundation for her collaboration with the activewear brand Adanola.

Founded in 2015 by brothers Josh and Hyrum Cook, the Manchester-based label has previously collaborated with stars like Kendall Jenner, Lila Moss, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Bieber’s capsule collection marks its most significant celebrity partnership to date, taking over a year to develop. She proposed the ballet theme and contributed to the selection of colors, fabrics, silhouettes, and fits.

The 23-piece collection features items such as the Shawl Knit Bolero, Modal Overlay Trousers, rib knit leg warmers in dusty mauve, a polar fleece, and a co-branded sling bag. Each piece reflects the DIY spirit of dancers who often customize their studio attire, incorporating elements like ruching trousers, transforming tights into bolero tops, and cropping sweaters.

To celebrate the launch, Bieber made a glamorous appearance in Los Angeles on Oct. 13, donning a custom Ferragamo halter mini dress that she and her stylist, Dani Michelle, designed specifically for the event.

Upon closer inspection, the dress is more intricate than it appears. According to W, it features washed silk adorned with a net entirely embellished with crystals, creating a sequin-like effect. The result is a skin-hugging silhouette with a delicate halter strap, exposed shoulders, and a hemline that showcased plenty of leg.

Opinions varied on the dress’s color, with some describing it as beige and others as gold, depending on the lighting. The layering technique also evokes Bieber’s favorite satin ’90s slips, as noted by W.

She kept her accessories minimal and sleek. Her hair was styled in a ballerina-inspired bun, complemented by slim black sunglasses, diamond earrings, a glossy lip, and black pointed slingback heels. Marie Claire pointed out that the understated accessories allowed the “little beige dress” to take center stage.

This appearance is part of a recent trend for Bieber. Just two weeks prior, she hosted a Rhode party during Paris Fashion Week in another gold mini, a vintage Saint Laurent piece. Marie Claire humorously remarked that the Ferragamo look was a perfect choice for the holiday season, suggesting she had kicked off holiday style early.

Adanola’s CEO, Niran Chana, has referred to Bieber as an icon of her generation, a savvy businesswoman behind Rhode, and a long-time muse for the brand. Founder Hyrum Cook mentioned that she had a clear vision of what she wanted. Bieber herself has expressed that she is selective about her collaborations, with her last clothing project being for her husband Justin’s brand, Skylrk.

This partnership comes as Adanola seeks to strengthen its presence in the U.S. market. Glossy reported that Vogue Business noted the brand surpassing £50 million in annual revenue, with Jenner being its most significant influencer investment to date as it aims to boost brand awareness stateside.

The campaign embraces a moody, after-dark vibe, photographed and directed by Angelo Pennetta in Los Angeles, with Michelle styling the activewear to reflect a downtown edge. The campaign video features Bieber returning to the ballet studio en pointe at night.

The capsule collection was launched on Oct. 15 through Adanola’s website at 7 p.m. UK time, with prices ranging from £34 to £100.

Bieber’s week was packed beyond the launch. After the event, she attended the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit to discuss Rhode, the skincare brand valued at $1 billion.

With ballet-inspired knitwear and a crystal-embellished mini designed for festive occasions, she is making a compelling case for her ability to shine in both the gym and at glamorous events.
