Two of the deadliest assassins in the fiction world are Jason Bourne and John Wick. Both men also look incredibly cool while they are handling business. Both have taken out numerous enemies. However, if the two were pitted against each other, who would win in a fight between Jason Bourne and John Wick?

In a face-off between Jason Bourne and John Wick, Wick would win. The two men are very much alike, both being trained assassins and excellent snipers. But if the two ended up fighting each other, Wick is more vicious and brutal, so the victory would go to him.

The Rundown on Jason Bourne

Born David Webb, Jason Bourne is a former CIA-trained assassin. He took on the identity of Jason Bourne after he killed the real Jason Bourne, and his true identity became a secret. He was a part of the Treadstone program while at the CIA, where he learned to master many martial arts skills and several languages. 

He was a top agent for several years and performed many assassinations. However, when he could not carry out one of his most critical missions, he tried to abandon the mission and was shot before he could get away. He woke up with no memory of who or what he was. 

When many CIA assassins come after him trying to kill him, he finds out that he was once one of those same assassins. He also learns that he failed his last mission. He breaks off all contact with the CIA but is soon framed by them for a crime. This leads him to suspect that the CIA is hunting him again. 

Bourne holds his own throughout the film series and fights back against assassins sent to kill him and manages to kill some of them along the way. He also tries to stay off the radar while digging deeper into his past to find out more about who he is, where he came from, and why so many want him dead. 

All You Need to Know About John Wick 

John Wick is a retired assassin who jumps back into the killing business when a bunch of bad guys break into his house, steal from him, and kill his dog. John’s real name is Jardani Jovonovich, and his father’s friend and mentor raised him after his parents died. 

John was later recruited by a Russian crime group and trained by the leader of the group, the Director. His skills include handling firearms and other weapons, martial arts, infiltration, escapology, and tactical driving. He became a relentless hitman that was feared by many. 

John retires from the hitman life when he meets and falls in love with Helen. However, Helen becomes ill and dies. She did leave him a dog, Daisy, so he would have a companion after she was gone. 

But one day, the son of a former acquaintance of John breaks into his home. He and his buddies attack John, kill his dog, and steal his car. This brings John out of retirement, and he goes off on a vindictive killing rampage. 

In the second and third John Wick films, John continues on his revenge riot, and his kill count continues to climb. John gets excommunicated from the crime world but continues to survive even with a bounty on his head and with numerous assassins coming after him.

Jason Bourne vs. John Wick: Who would win and why?

Bourne and Wick have a lot in common regarding their training and fighting style. They have both been trained to kill by organizations known for producing top-notch assassins. Both have martial arts training and are excellent in hand-to-hand fights, in addition to handling weaponry. 

Jason Bourne has his secret agent training to his advantage. He can be covert, and his killing style is more civilized than Wick’s. Also, his combat skills are phenomenal. 

On the other hand, John Wick is a butcher when it comes to taking his enemies out. He has taken on and defeated several assassins at one time, as opposed to Bourne’s few here and there. Where Bourne’s fighting style is more sophisticated, Wick is ruthless and fights dirty. 

Therefore, I am convinced that John Wick would win in a fight between the two. It would be close and undoubtedly amazing to watch. But, Wick’s kill count is more than ten times Bourne’s, and he fights dirtier and more unforgiving. When it came down to it, Bourne just wouldn’t be able to keep up with Wick, making Wick the victor.
