Jonathan Bailey Shows Off Dark Glamour in New L’Officiel Hommes Shoot

Jonathan Bailey has spent September showcasing his versatility, proving he is just as at ease in front of a fashion camera as he is on a film set. His latest feature in L’Officiel Hommes serves as a fitting highlight to an already bustling month.

Bailey, 38, is widely recognized for his role as Anthony Bridgerton in Netflix’s ‘Bridgerton’. He made waves in ‘Wicked: For Good’ in November 2025 and also starred in ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ that same year, earning the title of People’s Sexiest Man Alive.

This rising star power explains why fashion magazines are eager to feature him. On September 29, a series of moody new photos from L’Officiel Hommes began circulating online, offering fans a fresh glimpse of Bailey in a dark-romance aesthetic.

The photos predominantly feature black tones. In one striking image, Bailey dons a black velvet jacket over a black tee, cinched at the waist with a wide black satin belt, paired with loose black trousers. Dark sunglasses and tousled curls complete the ensemble.

In another shot, he leans against an ornate wall of orange-gold damask beside veined marble, casually looking down at his phone. This moody, candid setup juxtaposes the relaxed gesture with the opulent surroundings.

This shoot follows a busy period on the fashion circuit. On September 21, Bailey was spotted front row at Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2027 show at Chelsea College of Arts during London Fashion Week, where fans noted his new curly, shaggy bangs.

He was joined by notable guests including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jason Statham, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rachel Brosnahan, Joel Edgerton, Gemma Chan, and Nara Smith. While Bailey is not an official Burberry ambassador, he has a notable connection with the brand, having participated in its Spring campaign, ‘The Trench: Portraits of an Icon’, alongside Teyana Taylor, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Jack Draper.

Earlier this month, Bailey made headlines for withdrawing from the anticipated West End revival of ‘Sunday in the Park with George’ at the Barbican Centre, scheduled for summer 2027.

This isn’t Bailey’s first collaboration with the fashion publication. In spring 2021, he graced a digital cover of L’Officiel Hommes Italia Issue 26, photographed by Jason Hetherington and styled by Gaultier Desandre Navarre.

That cover featured a Hermès pull paired with Fendi shorts and a Z Zegna scarf, showcasing designs from brands like Dior Men, Gucci, JW Anderson, and Salvatore Ferragamo. At that time, he was riding high on the success of his ‘Bridgerton’ breakout.

Fashion has become an integral part of his public persona. Before attending Burberry this year, he was seen at the brand’s show in London in September 2025 and also sat front row at Christian Dior’s Spring/Summer 2026 womenswear show in Paris on October 1, 2025.

Paris Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2027 is currently underway and will run through October 6, marking the conclusion of fashion month.

Bailey’s off-screen endeavors have also gained attention. USA Today reported that he plans to dedicate 2026 to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in the UK, launching the Shameless Fund, his philanthropic foundation.

A luxury label has even collaborated with the fund to release a limited run of t-shirts, aligning with the actor’s mission. Despite his philanthropic efforts, he continues to have new acting projects on the horizon.

Online reactions to the L’Officiel Hommes photos have been swift. Many fans have applauded the dark, romantic style, noting that the velvet, satin, and curls give him a mysterious allure.

Others expressed a preference for his classic ‘Bridgerton’ look, while some are more eager to see his upcoming acting roles than his fashion endeavors.
