Jodie Comer has always embraced fashion as a means of storytelling. Whether gracing a red carpet or seated in the front row, the actress consistently arrives in looks that spark conversation. Her latest appearance in Givenchy is a prime example, reigniting buzz around her name.

This standout moment occurred during Paris Fashion Week, a time when celebrities vie for attention with their outfits. Comer, however, seems to effortlessly master the art of standing out.

Recent photos capture Comer in a striking red Givenchy halter top featuring a high, softly draped neckline and a daring open back that ties at the waist. A long asymmetric panel cascades from the waist, while the fabric gathers through the torso for a sculpted effect. Her hair is styled in a tousled ponytail, with loose strands framing her face.

She paired the top with sleek black trousers featuring a pressed front line, completing the look with black square-toe heeled mules. Her makeup remained understated with rose-toned shades, allowing the vibrant color of the top to take center stage. The result is a polished look that feels dramatic and undeniably confident.

Comer wore this stunning outfit to Givenchy’s Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear show on October 2, during Paris Fashion Week. The shows took place from September 28 to October 6, and her appearance was early in the week. She sat front row alongside Janelle Monae and Anson Boon.

Other notable guests at the presentation included Eddie Redmayne, Hannah Bagshawe, Marisa Berenson, and Yoon Jeonghan. This wasn’t Comer’s first time at Givenchy, as she also attended the previous spring show in October of last year. Fashion observers have noted her growing relationship with Givenchy’s creative director Sarah Burton, whom she has mentioned as one of her favorite designers in a WWD profile.

The halter neckline has become somewhat of a signature for Comer. She previously donned a silver halter gown at the London premiere of ’28 Years Later’, which showcased the style beautifully. The scarlet Givenchy top feels like a modern, edgier interpretation of that same silhouette.

This year, she has also been busy with magazine features, appearing in WWD Weekend in May and in Harper’s Bazaar UK and Porter in June. Along with her front-row appearances, these editorials highlight an actress increasingly immersed in the fashion world. In her WWD profile, she expressed a desire to become more involved in fashion.

On screen, Comer has had a remarkable year. She stars in the A24 film ‘The Death of Robin Hood’, portraying Sister Brigid alongside Hugh Jackman as Robin Hood and Bill Skarsgard as Little John. The film premiered in New York in June, hit US theaters on June 19, and became available on digital and VOD on July 28.

Additionally, she leads in ‘Stuffed’, a musical body horror romance from writer-director Theo Rhys, who is expanding an award-winning short that won at SXSW in 2021. Comer plays Araminta opposite Harry Melling’s Bernie, in a unique story about a man who offers his body to a taxidermist after his death, leading to an unexpected romance. The film opened the Discovery program at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, where Comer showcased Fendi Couture.

What makes this Givenchy moment so effective is its balance of restraint and bold color. A single saturated hue, clean tailoring below, and a simple hairstyle allow the outfit to appear sophisticated rather than overwhelming. The open back adds a daring element without overshadowing the overall silhouette.

This look also aligns with Comer’s pattern of becoming a fixture at major fashion events. With a series of high-profile films under her belt and a growing interest in fashion, Comer is clearly a star who feels at home both on screen and on the runway.
