Straw Hat fans eager for a third episode of ‘LEGO One Piece’ are in for a treat, as two animated specials are set to premiere on Netflix on September 29. These specials will retell the adventures from the first two seasons of the live-action series, allowing viewers to binge the entire story without any weekly delays.

If you’re on the hunt for the ‘LEGO One Piece’ release date, time, and streaming information, here’s what we know so far. The specials arrive just as Netflix keeps the Going Merry sailing between seasons, and excitement has been building since the release of the first trailer.

The specials are scheduled to stream on Netflix on September 29, 2026, and are produced by the Canadian animation studio Atomic Cartoons. This makes it a September event for fans eagerly awaiting the crew’s next adventure.

The two episodes are titled “Tall Tales from the East Blue” and “Grand Line, Grand Time.” These titles suggest a division, with the first episode focusing on the early journey and the second leading into the Grand Line.

Each episode runs for 30 minutes, making for a compact hour that condenses two full seasons of content. Expect a lively and playful pace rather than a detailed scene-by-scene retelling.

The only platform to watch these specials is Netflix. According to the streaming service, the two-part multi-brick special will be available starting September 29, exclusively on the platform. There will be no cable airing or theatrical release.

While an official release time hasn’t been confirmed, it’s advisable to check your Netflix profile for the local drop time. With the date set, the wait is now just a matter of days.

The specials will be accessible to all Netflix subscribers, with no additional purchases required, so any active subscription should suffice to start watching.

The narrative is framed through Usopp, the Straw Hats’ notoriously unreliable narrator, who shares exaggerated tales of the crew’s adventures with Tony Tony Chopper. Since Chopper hasn’t joined the crew yet, he serves as the perfect audience for Usopp’s tall tales.

As expected from Usopp, his stories are not entirely accurate. He often casts himself as the hero in nearly every tale, and the trailer showcases a fast-forward montage through the arcs he chooses not to embellish. This creative freedom allows animators to reinterpret events in ways that the live-action series could not.

Fans will recognize the voice cast, featuring Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Zoro, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Mikaela Hoover as Chopper. Showrunner Tom Hyndman mentioned to Netflix Tudum that the recording process went smoothly, as the actors are already well-versed in their characters.

The animation is handled by Vancouver’s Atomic Cartoons, with Chelsea Ker directing both episodes. One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda is executive producing alongside Hyndman, Tomorrow Studios, and the LEGO Group. Having Oda involved suggests that the humor is intended to be affectionate rather than satirical.

Hyndman explained that the aim of the project is to introduce new viewers to the expansive world of One Piece while providing long-time fans with a fresh perspective on the first two seasons. Essentially, it serves as a gateway for younger audiences and a delightful experience for veterans.

The timing is strategic as well. Netflix has also announced that the live-action series will return with a third season titled The Battle of Alabasta in 2027. Until then, this hour of brick-built pirate fun keeps the crew in the spotlight. We’re curious to hear which of Usopp’s exaggerated tales you’re most excited to see, so let us know in the comments!
