Leonardo DiCaprio Admitting He Never Watched Titanic Shocked Jennifer Lawrence

During a candid conversation with fellow Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio dropped a major bombshell about the biggest movie of his career. He revealed that he has never actually watched the 1997 blockbuster Titanic, despite it being the role that cemented his status as a global superstar.

The confession happened during an episode of Variety’s Actors on Actors series when Lawrence asked if he had ever rewatched the iconic film. DiCaprio bluntly responded that he had not seen it before, which left Lawrence completely stunned.

She immediately told him that he really should watch it, assuring him that enough time has passed and that the movie is incredible. DiCaprio explained his reasoning, stating that he simply does not like to watch his own films.

Lawrence admitted she usually feels the same way, though she joked that if she had made a movie like Titanic, she definitely would have watched it. She then shared a funny story about the time she got drunk and put on American Hustle just to check if her acting was any good.

While DiCaprio generally avoids revisiting his work, he has admitted elsewhere that there is one specific exception to his rule. He once told director Paul Thomas Anderson that he has watched The Aviator more than his other projects because he holds that experience as a very special memory.

It appears that even decades later, Jack Dawson has yet to see how his own story ends on screen.
