Streaming’s fall lineup is gearing up with a mix of returning favorites and exciting new thrillers. This week, we got fresh glimpses of two shows that are on opposite ends of that spectrum. One is a beloved global phenomenon that is finally freeing its lead character from a predicament of his own making, while the other introduces a brand-new revenge story that serves as a reminder that elite hitmen should never underestimate a woman with everything to lose.

Netflix’s ‘Lupin’ has built a reputation over the years as one of the platform’s biggest global hits. Part 4 picks up right where Part 3 left off, with Omar Sy returning as Assane Diop, the gentleman thief. In a dramatic turn of events, Assane voluntarily surrendered to the police in season three to protect his loved ones, marking the first time he finds himself behind bars in the series.

The newly released first-look images suggest that Assane’s time in prison is about to take an unexpected twist, although Netflix has kept the plot details under wraps for now. Part 4 will consist of eight episodes, each running approximately 45 minutes, making it the longest season yet, surpassing Part 3’s seven-episode count. Returning cast members include Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Soufiane Guerrab, and Shirine Boutella, alongside newcomers Théo Christine and Laïka Blanc-Francard.

Omar Sy, who also serves as showrunner alongside Louis Leterrier, expressed his deep connection to the role, describing the franchise as an extraordinary plaything. He shared with Netflix’s Tudum that he finds immense joy in returning to the character. ‘Lupin’ Part 4 is set to premiere on Netflix on October 23.
