Marvel Netflix Series in Order

Marvel Netflix Series in Order

While Netflix isn’t the best destination for Marvel movies and TV shows, there’s still a handful of series on the platform. If you’ve only got a Netflix subscription, you may want to start catching up on all you’ve missed. This article will show you the best order to watch Marvel’s series on Netflix.

Marvel Netflix Series Watch Order

The entire library of Marvel series on Netflix may seem confusing to new fans. However, it would help if you watched them all to understand the entire story. Here is the specific order in which you need to watch Marvel’s series on Netflix to understand the underlying stories.

1. Daredevil Season 1

Marvel Netflix Series in Order

The 2015 Marvel classic, Daredevil, is the first Netflix series to appear on Netflix. Starring Charlie Cox as the main character, the first season of Daredevil is 13 episodes of non-stop action.

The main character is a blind lawyer who believes that justice is much more than presenting evidence to a judge. With a strong perception dubbed ‘radar sense,’ he fights expertly without the need for eyes.

With the series rated as one of the best on Netflix ever, you won’t have to sit through boring content. By the first season’s conclusion, you’ll be tempted to jump to the second. However, if you want to keep watching all the Marvel Netflix series in order, you may want to refrain from that.

2. Jessica Jones Season 1

After completing the first season of Daredevil, you should also sit through the first 13 episodes of Jessica Jones. Building upon the success of its predecessor, Jessica Jones enjoyed massive popularity soon after its release.

The titular superhero of the series, Jessica Jones, was a private investigator who discovered her superhero abilities. After awaking from a car accident that killed her family, she restarted her life by establishing a private investigation agency.

3. Daredevil Season 2

If you loved the first season of Daredevil, you can continue the series after the first season of Jessica Jones. The introduction of the Punisher in this season left fans with mixed reactions and divided opinions.

The first half of the 13 episodes of this season will be more relatable if you’re into non-stop action. However, if you’re more into careful story building, the second half will make more sense. In short, the second season of Daredevil won’t enthrall you as much as the first, but it’s great overall.

4. Luke Cage Season 1

Marvel Netflix Series in Order

Just like you’d expect from a typical Marvel series, Luke Cage is about a superhero with insane strength and unbreakable skin. He made it his mission to fight gang warfare and corruption in his neighborhood.

From the description, you should already know that the series will be action-packed. Starring many elite actors, the package is nothing short of exciting.

5. Iron Fist Season 1

Marvel Netflix Series in Order

You may have to delay seeing Jessica Jones for quite some time if you haven’t seen the Iron Fist. The series follows the story of Danny Rand that returns to New York after learning martial arts.

Iron Fist wasn’t as loved as its predecessors, as the main character is unlikable at best. With almost no development throughout the series, the main character is very difficult not to criticize. In the end, it’s still a Marvel series, and as usual, it’s not very bad.

6. The Defenders’ limited series

Did you love the Avengers? The Defenders’ brings Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones together in an Avengers’ style series.

With the threat posed by the Hand becoming increasingly excessive, this merger becomes necessary to address it. While The Defenders isn’t exactly bad, expecting Avengers’-level quality will eventually leave you disappointed.

7. The Punisher Season 1

Marvel Netflix Series in Order

In the order of Marvel series on Netflix, The Punisher comes after the Defenders. While fans were already familiar with this character from Daredevil Season 2, nobody saw a standalone series coming.

The Punisher is more like a savior that cleans up the mess of Iron Fist and The Defenders. If you can recall, both of the movies were lackluster, but The Punisher is the exact opposite. While people believe it’s still garbage, it has more lovers than critics.

8. Jessica Jones Season 2

Remember Jessica Jones that you watched after Daredevil? Well, it’s time to get back to it now in the second season. While the first season of the series was well-received, the second season wasn’t as good.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the story is the introduction of Luke Cage as her lover. The Season 3 of Jessica Jones will hopefully be its redemption, but this one is worth watching anyway.

9. Luke Cage Season 2

Marvel released the second season of Luke Cage to the public in 2018. The events in the second season build up on the happenings in the first season and The Defenders’. In this season, Luke Cage is already a hero in Harlem after defeating Diamondback in the preceding season.

While the second season of Luke Cage isn’t the most interesting series Netflix has released, it’s pretty well-written. With an 84% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s a clear improvement over its predecessor.

10. Iron Fist Season 2

After watching the second season of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, the second season of Iron Fist seems just right. The second season was an opportunity for Marvel to right its wrongs, and they did it expertly.

While fans received this installment positively, it didn’t prevent Marvel Studios from axing the show. While we’ll never see another season of Iron Fist, there’s still a possibility of something close; Heroes for Hire, maybe?

11. Daredevil Season 3

Daredevil was the first Marvel series on Netflix, and it’s arguably the best. So it’s no surprise when the third season arrived on Netflix soon after Marvel announced drawing the curtains on Iron Fist. Unfortunately, if you’re looking forward to another Daredevil season, it’s canceled too!

12. The Punisher Season 2

Since most other shows are getting canceled, this may be the last season of The Punisher to stream on Netflix. Like the last season of every canceled series, John Bernthal was phenomenal this season. It’s the most action-packed Punisher series, with the main character delivering his idea of justice expertly.

13. Jessica Jones Season 3

Jessica Jones should be your final destination if you’re catching up on the Marvel Netflix series in order. While most fans weren’t expecting it, it dropped on Netflix, surpassing expectations.

Since Marvel has been quiet since its release, we may never see a Marvel series on Netflix again.
