‘Jack Ryan’ is making a comeback, and fans are treated to a fresh glimpse of the next chapter. A brand-new clip from ‘Jack Ryan: Ghost War’ has been unveiled ahead of the film’s premiere on Prime Video this month.

This upcoming action thriller continues the narrative from the acclaimed Prime Video series that aired from 2018 to 2023. John Krasinski reprises his role as CIA analyst Jack Ryan, with Wendell Pierce returning as James Greer. The new footage hints at another intricate global conspiracy filled with covert operations, political intrigue, and high-stakes espionage.

According to details shared by Amazon MGM Studios and various entertainment sources, the film follows Ryan as he is drawn back into the world of intelligence when a covert international mission reveals a perilous conspiracy involving a rogue black-ops group. The plot reportedly becomes intensely personal as Ryan races against time with familiar allies Mike November and James Greer.

Directed by Andrew Bernstein, who has previously worked on the ‘Jack Ryan’ series, the screenplay is penned by Aaron Rabin and Krasinski, based on a story conceived by Krasinski and Noah Oppenheim. The project draws inspiration from characters in the Ryanverse franchise originally created by Tom Clancy.

In addition to Krasinski and Pierce, the cast features Michael Kelly, Sienna Miller, Betty Gabriel, Max Beesley, Douglas Hodge, and JJ Feild.

Filming for the movie commenced earlier this year in London and wrapped during the summer. The newly released clip provides fans with their clearest insight into the film’s darker tone and grander scale, seemingly pushing the franchise further into blockbuster territory.

‘Jack Ryan: Ghost War’ is set to premiere globally on Prime Video on May 20.
