New Teaser for ‘The Boys’ Season 5 Episode 5 Features ‘Supernatural’ Stars
A fresh teaser for episode 5 of ‘The Boys’ season 5 has been unveiled, featuring a beloved group of actors from ‘Supernatural’ that fans will surely recognize.
According to information from Entertainment Weekly and insights from show creator Eric Kripke, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins will reunite in this upcoming episode. This marks a significant on-screen gathering for the trio, who are widely known for their roles in ‘Supernatural.’
Kripke also disclosed that Jared Padalecki will portray a character named Mister Marathon. Although this character has been referenced in the series before, he will make his on-screen debut in this episode. Mister Marathon is tied to the early history of The Seven and was once a speed-based hero before being succeeded by A-Train.
The show creator emphasized that Padalecki’s role goes beyond a mere cameo. He stated, “I want a meaty, fun role that really turns the story.”
Kripke further explained that Mister Marathon has been part of the show’s background lore for quite some time and was integral to The Seven’s early formation. He mentioned that bringing Padalecki into the fold allows for a character that feels distinct from what fans might anticipate, giving him a more unexpected and intriguing personality.
The teaser and previous preview footage also hint at a conflict between Mister Marathon and Soldier Boy, portrayed by Jensen Ackles. One scene shows Soldier Boy striking Mister Marathon, indicating a potential confrontation between the two characters in this episode.
Additionally, a brief post from the official ‘The Boys’ social media account has promoted the teaser, generating even more excitement ahead of the episode’s release.
While the full reason for Mister Marathon’s return remains unclear, various theories are circulating within the storyline, including connections to The Seven, Billy Butcher’s group, or broader shifts occurring in the superhero landscape following recent events in the season.
The episode is anticipated to advance ongoing plotlines while keeping key details under wraps until its release.
Reintroducing the ‘Supernatural’ trio into ‘The Boys’ is a smart strategy, as it captures the attention of long-time fans and adds extra excitement to an already chaotic series. What are your thoughts on this reunion and the return of Mister Marathon? Share your opinions in the comments.
