Paris Fashion Week features numerous runways, but few rival L’Oréal Paris’s Le Défilé. This annual event transforms Place Joffre into an open-air stage nestled between the Eiffel Tower and the École Militaire. It welcomes the public and is livestreamed globally on Instagram, TikTok, and L’Oréal Paris’s digital platforms.

The ninth edition took place on Monday, September 28, at 9 p.m., themed “Express Your Worth.” The lineup included well-known figures like Kendall Jenner, Heidi Klum, Jane Fonda, Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne, and Eva Longoria. Kristen Bell made her debut on the brand’s runway after being named a global ambassador in August, while Céline Dion surprised everyone with a performance to close the show.

Among the rising stars was Mika Abdalla, who made her Paris Fashion Week debut at the event. The ‘Off Campus’ actress walked the runway in a stunning outfit, which included high-waisted blue jeans, a black lace top, and a sheer black lace cover-up, with her hair styled in loose waves. A 10-second clip from the show shared online captures her look perfectly.

Abdalla’s ascent has been rapid. The Prime Video series ‘Off Campus’, based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling novels, garnered 36 million viewers within its first 12 days, making it the third most-watched series launch in the platform’s history, as reported by Variety.

In the series, she portrays Allie Hayes, the best friend of Ella Bright’s character, Hannah Wells. The show has transformed its cast into fashion and beauty icons, with WWD even analyzing the hair and makeup styles of Hannah and Allie in a feature on Gen Z beauty trends.

The event celebrates women’s empowerment, with L’Oréal emphasizing inclusivity, freedom, confidence, and sisterhood. It brings together the brand’s global ambassadors, designers, and beauty experts.

Kendall Jenner opened the runway in a sheer black dress featuring a high neckline and a dramatic thigh-high slit, as noted by Just Jared. Other notable participants included Anitta, Simone Ashley, Andie MacDowell, Aja Naomi King, and Lindsey Vonn. Abdalla walked alongside her fellow actor Jacob Rott.

The timing of this event is significant. Prime Video has confirmed that the second season of ‘Off Campus’ will focus on Allie and Dean Di Laurentis, portrayed by Stephen Kalyn. This season adapts ‘The Score’, the third book in Kennedy’s series, exploring a couple whose casual arrangement becomes increasingly complex.

Abdalla has hinted that the new season will delve deeper into Allie’s emotional journey, moving away from the light-hearted friendship depicted in the first season. The main cast will return, including Bright, Belmont Cameli, Antonio Cipriano, and Jalen Thomas Brooks, with India Fowler joining as Grace Ivers.

Having worked in television and film since she was young, Abdalla has found a prominent role in Allie. Her previous credits include the Netflix series ‘Project Mc²’ and films like ‘Sex Appeal’ and ‘Snack Shack’. In 2025, she also appeared in ‘The Pitt’ and ‘Suits LA’.

While her next project after the second season remains uncertain, TV Insider reported that she has a short film titled ‘In the Flesh’ in the works, directed by Armen Antranikian, about a couple who explore opening their relationship. In a September 1 interview with Vogue India, she expressed her desire to take on more behind-the-scenes roles, including producing, writing, or directing.

Walking the Paris runway is a significant milestone for any actress, highlighting Abdalla’s rapidly growing profile. It also indicates that brands are recognizing the talents of the show’s young stars. For L’Oréal, incorporating new faces alongside established ambassadors keeps the event fresh and relevant.

For fans, the clip offers a delightful glimpse of Abdalla beyond her usual character. Her relaxed denim style stood out amid the more dramatic outfits showcased. This casual look has contributed to her appeal since the show’s debut.

With the second season on the horizon, this runway appearance is likely just the beginning for Abdalla. She is at a pivotal moment in her career, and her debut at Paris Fashion Week suggests she is poised for even greater opportunities ahead.
