‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ Unveils New Clip Ahead of Release Date on May 22

A fresh clip from ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ has been released, offering fans another glimpse of the upcoming big-screen continuation of the beloved Disney+ series.

Set to premiere in theaters on May 22, the film is poised to be a significant chapter in the Star Wars universe, following the adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu after the events of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian.

Directed by Jon Favreau, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor, the film is produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, marking a major theatrical release for the franchise.

According to production details shared by Lucasfilm, the narrative unfolds after the fall of the Galactic Empire. With the galaxy still in turmoil, remaining Imperial warlords pose a threat, prompting the New Republic to enlist Din Djarin and Grogu for a new mission.

In this mission, the duo is tasked with rescuing Rotta the Hutt in exchange for vital information related to a New Republic target. This storyline introduces new political dynamics while emphasizing the bond between the Mandalorian and Grogu.

The cast features Pedro Pascal reprising his role as Din Djarin, who continues his journey after agreeing to collaborate with the New Republic at the conclusion of the series’ third season.

Grogu also makes a return, brought to life through a combination of animatronics, puppetry, and visual effects, remaining a central emotional figure in the franchise.

The film introduces new key characters, including Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt, Jabba’s son, depicted as a formidable figure involved in gladiatorial combat. Sigourney Weaver portrays Ward, a New Republic colonel and former Rebel Alliance pilot.

Other familiar faces from the Star Wars universe will also appear, further connecting the film to the broader franchise timeline.

Production commenced in California in 2024 and concluded later that year after delays caused by industry strikes. The project evolved from Lucasfilm’s initial plans for a fourth season of The Mandalorian into a feature film.

With the new clip now available, excitement is mounting as fans eagerly await the return of Din Djarin and Grogu on the big screen in one of the franchise’s most anticipated releases.
