Star Wars stars Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson surprised fans at a special 20th-anniversary screening of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

Christensen was the first to come on stage, holding a red lightsaber. He told the cheering crowd, “I have so many amazing memories of making” the last prequel movie. In Revenge of the Sith, Anakin Skywalker becomes Darth Vader and helps Palpatine take over the Republic.

Looking out at the audience, Christensen smiled and said, “I see a lot of lightsabers out here. I see a lot of red lightsabers, which truth be told is my personal favorite lightsaber color.

After Jackson’s big entrance, Christensen introduced him properly: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage Mace Windu himself, Samuel L. Jackson.

The crowd went wild with applause. Jackson looked happy and said, “This is so, so, so awesome. Twenty years later, I can hardly believe that we’re still as popular — as happenin’ — as we are. I haven’t seen Hayden in a while, but so, so, so happy to come back, see him, and see all of you at the same time. Thank you all so much. We had a great time making the film down in Australia. We were hangin’ out, doin’ stuff.

Before they left the stage, Jackson and Christensen smiled and told the audience together, “May the Force be with you.

Hayden Christensen is not done with Star Wars yet. He recently shared that he will return as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka season 2. He had already played the role again in Ahsoka season 1 and the Obi-Wan Kenobi series in 2022.
