Kylie Jenner Faces Second Lawsuit From Former Housekeeper Over Harassment Claims
Kylie Jenner is now facing a second lawsuit from a former housekeeper who alleges she endured harassment and mistreatment while employed in Jenner’s home. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, as reported by various entertainment media outlets.
The case was initiated by Juana Delgado Soto, who claims she worked for Jenner beginning in 2019. She has made multiple allegations regarding her employment, including harassment, discrimination, and issues with unpaid or mismanaged wages. The complaint encompasses a broad range of legal accusations related to her time on the job.
Soto asserts that she did not receive adequate meal or rest breaks during her shifts. She also indicates that the situation worsened over time, particularly involving a supervisor named Itzel Sibrian.
As stated in the lawsuit, Soto claims that Sibrian made derogatory comments about her background, including mocking her accent and immigration status. She alleges that the work environment became increasingly hostile as time went on.
The complaint mentions that Soto reported the issues, resulting in Sibrian being temporarily reassigned. However, she claims that Sibrian returned to her original position and resumed what Soto describes as retaliatory actions, including changes to her schedule and pay, as well as assigning her more challenging tasks.
Soto also alleges that she faced threats regarding taking time off. One incident reportedly occurred on her birthday when she was told she needed to stay late instead of leaving work. According to the filing, she was informed, “No one cares about your birthday, Kylie is having a dinner.”
The lawsuit further claims that after Soto wrote a letter outlining her concerns and left it for Jenner, she was instructed not to contact Jenner directly again. She also alleges she was warned against interacting with Jenner in any capacity at work, including looking at or speaking to her.
While the filing does not directly accuse Jenner of harassment, it argues that the responsibility lies with the workplace environment and the handling of complaints.
This marks the second lawsuit in a short span involving similar allegations from another housekeeper associated with Jenner’s household staff, according to reports from entertainment outlets.
This situation underscores how swiftly workplace disputes can escalate into significant legal issues, particularly involving public figures. The outcome will likely depend on the evidence presented in court and the responses from both parties. What are your thoughts on workplace claims involving high-profile employers?
