‘Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine’ Official Trailer Released for ‘Money Heist’ Fans

The official trailer for Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine has been unveiled, generating excitement among fans of Money Heist.

Netflix has announced that the show will premiere on May 15 on the streaming platform. This series serves as a spin-off and prequel to the beloved Money Heist, centering on the character Berlin, portrayed by Pedro Alonso.

The series first debuted on December 29, 2023, and follows Berlin, also known as Andrés de Fonollosa. He is depicted as a clever and stylish thief navigating his life as a terminally ill master criminal who specializes in high-stakes robberies.

Netflix shared the news on Instagram, stating: “Seville? This is Berlin calling. Watch Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine: Limited Series, out 15 May, only on Netflix.”

Season 2 of the series is confirmed to feature eight episodes. The writing team includes Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, who were also behind the original Money Heist. Additional writers contributing to the project are David Barrocal, Lorena G. Maldonado, and Itziar San Juan.

The direction is managed by Albert Pintó, David Barrocal, and Jose Manuel Cravioto, who have previously worked on projects such as Sky Rojo and Nowhere, bringing valuable experience from other Netflix productions.

The cast for the new season features Michelle Jenner, Tristán Ulloa, Begoña Vargas, Julio Peña Fernández, and Joel Sánchez.

In the original Money Heist, Berlin was a standout character, known for being the Professor’s brother and playing a crucial role in planning heists with his sharp intellect and confident demeanor. His story in the main series concluded when he sacrificed himself during a robbery to protect his team.

This spin-off delves deeper into his past, offering more insight into his life before the events of the original series. With the new trailer now available, anticipation for the upcoming season has surged, particularly among fans of the franchise.
