During a comedy show in Los Angeles, Seth Rogen and Jon Stewart took the opportunity to openly criticize Kanye West at the live Netflix is a Joke Festival event, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The event was hosted at the Greek Theatre and featured Rogen’s special show titled “Seth Goes Greek.” Rogen led the night alongside a lineup of comedians and performers, including Nick Kroll, Eric André, Sarah Silverman, Nikki Glaser, and others.

Rogen initiated the discussion about West during his set, addressing the festival and the recent controversies surrounding the rapper’s music and performances.

He remarked, “He had a song called ‘Heil Hitler’ and he’s back.” Rogen then highlighted the disparity in public backlash faced by different figures, suggesting that he received more criticism for his own remarks than West has.

He added, “What’s funny is I’ve said critical things about Jewish people; I think I got in more trouble than Kanye West did. I got a lot of shit for what I said. I have no number one albums.”

Later in the evening, Jon Stewart also addressed West during his set. His comments were part of a broader discussion on antisemitism and politics. Stewart stated, “fucking Kanye thinks we fucked up his Adidas deal.”

He then directly criticized West’s past remarks and actions, adding, “but seriously, fuck that guy. He was like, ‘Hitler we misunderstood, we’ve got to forgive Hitler.’ And I’m like, I don’t think I need to listen to anybody who thinks Hitler needs to be forgiven but is still mad at Pete Davidson.”

The night wasn’t solely focused on West, as Stewart also joked about various political and cultural issues, including Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and local Los Angeles politics. Sarah Silverman contributed her own commentary during her set as well.

This show was part of Netflix’s extensive comedy festival taking place across Los Angeles. It also served to raise funds for Hilarity for Charity, a nonprofit founded by Rogen and his wife Lauren Miller Rogen, supporting families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the event featured a blend of stand-up comedy, music performances, and live sketches, with performers humorously addressing politics, celebrity culture, and current events throughout the night.
