Wilson Bethel, who portrays Bullseye in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, recently shared insights about what lies ahead for his character following the Season 2 finale. In an interview with Collider, he delved into Bullseye’s final scene and the potential for his future within the MCU.

In the season’s closing moments, Bullseye is seen aboard a plane with Mr. Charles, played by Matthew Lillard. This scene strongly implies that Dex’s journey is far from over and may lead him into a more structured and significant role. Bethel noted that this trajectory aligns well with the character’s comic book history.

He elaborated, “Bullseye at the end of the day, in a lot of the comics, is just a straight-up hitman for hire,” adding, “I don’t think it would be out of the realm of possibility for a government to be the one that comes up with the money to hire him.”

This notion hints that Bullseye might not only be evading threats but could also be on the verge of being recruited or reassigned to a new position. Bethel emphasized that the character’s key concerns revolve around control and freedom, which depend on his employer.

He characterized Bullseye’s previous arrangements as precarious, indicating that his character has often found himself in situations with little control or being manipulated. However, he suggested that the current circumstances could be different.

Bethel stated, “I like to think that if he’s making any kind of bargains or deals about what his future holds at this point, he’s doing it from a position of power.”

This shift could indicate a more prominent role for Bullseye in the MCU, especially with the plane scene hinting at new alliances and potential government involvement.

The actor also expressed his desire to continue portraying the character in future projects. When discussing possible crossovers, he mentioned several Marvel heroes he would enjoy seeing Bullseye confront.

He remarked, “I think it would be a hell of a lot of fun to see him up against somebody like Spider-Man. It’d be a hell of a lot of fun to see him against somebody like Hawkeye. It would be a hell of a lot of fun to see him go up against Punisher.”

Bethel even added, “Let’s just hope that Tom Holland decides to do another one, and I can be a part of that one.”

His remarks imply that Bullseye’s narrative is far from concluding with ‘Daredevil: Born Again’. Instead, the finale may be paving the way for his next chapter in the MCU, potentially as a hired weapon operating under new and more formidable influences.
