Production has officially begun on ‘A Quiet Place Part III’, with John Krasinski providing the first update from New York City.

The actor and filmmaker shared a photo on Instagram featuring the movie slate positioned in front of the Manhattan Bridge Arch and Colonnade in Chinatown. Alongside the image, Krasinski wrote, “Here. We. Go! #Part III.” His post indicates that filming for the next installment in the horror franchise is now in progress.

‘A Quiet Place Part III’ is scheduled to hit theaters on July 30, 2027. Krasinski returns as writer, director, and producer for this new film after helming the first two movies in the series.

Emily Blunt is confirmed to reprise her role as Evelyn Abbott. Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe will also return as Regan and Marcus Abbott, continuing the family’s journey after the events of ‘A Quiet Place Part II’.

Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as Emmett after joining the franchise in the second film. New cast members for this installment include Jack O’Connell, Jason Clarke, and Katy O’Brian.

The original ‘A Quiet Place’ was released in 2018 and became a significant success. The narrative followed a family striving to survive in a world overrun by dangerous creatures that hunt by sound. Krasinski also appeared in the first film as Lee Abbott, who sacrifices himself to protect his family. Even after his character’s death, Lee returned in flashback scenes in ‘Part II’.

The franchise expanded in 2024 with ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’, directed by Michael Sarnoski. This film explored the onset of the alien invasion in New York City and featured Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, Djimon Hounsou, and Alex Wolff.

Rumors about a third main film have circulated for several years. In 2021, Emily Blunt revealed that Krasinski had plans for another sequel. She mentioned at the time that the series was always intended to convey a larger story across multiple films.

Paramount Pictures is set to release the film in the United States on July 30, 2027. The movie was initially scheduled for an earlier July release before being postponed to later in the month.
