Viewers tuning into ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ were taken aback by Justin Theroux’s transformation, making him nearly unrecognizable on screen. Many fans were left confused, even searching online to confirm his appearance in the film.

Social media reactions reveal that Theroux’s role is so dramatically altered that some fans didn’t realize he was in the movie, despite seeing his name in the opening credits alongside stars like Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt.

In this sequel, Theroux portrays Benji Barnes, a tech billionaire who becomes entangled with Emily’s character. Although his role is minor, it becomes quite apparent once viewers recognize him. The character is depicted as loud, arrogant, and obsessed with artificial intelligence, often making exaggerated claims about technology replacing human jobs. His appearance is also strikingly different, featuring heavy makeup and a stylized look that changes his face on screen.

This transformation left many viewers guessing throughout the film. Some fans even took to social media to express that they were waiting for Theroux to appear, unaware that he had already made his entrance.

“The funniest part of the role was just how ridiculous he is,” Theroux shared. “He’s such an idiot.” He continued, “Being funny, wearing ridiculous clothes… I’ve got this crazy hair, I’m bald in parts, and then hair is falling out — that was the most fun.”

Outside of the film, Theroux has also been in the spotlight recently due to changes in his real-life appearance. At a premiere event for his series ‘Fallout’, fans noted he looked different compared to before, sparking online discussions.

He was also spotted at the premiere of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ with his wife, Nicole Brydon Bloom, as the couple welcomed their first child, a son, earlier this year.
