‘Wuthering Heights’ Star Margot Robbie Stuns in Low-Rise Pants at ‘1536’ Opening
Margot Robbie made a striking appearance in London, showcasing a sleek McQueen outfit at the West End opening night of ‘1536’ on May 12. The ensemble quickly garnered attention for its sharp tailoring and modern military-inspired aesthetic.
This stunning outfit is from the Alexander McQueen spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection. It features a structured long-sleeve jacket adorned with subtle gold embroidery and strong utilitarian details, creating a bold silhouette while maintaining a refined red carpet vibe.
The jacket was paired with low-rise tapered trousers, adding a relaxed yet fashion-forward touch to the overall look. Margot completed her outfit with pointed-toe heels and minimal jewelry, including small gold hoop earrings.
She also carried the McQueen Manta clutch, a sculptural black leather bag priced at approximately $1,690. This clutch, inspired by an earlier McQueen design, features a curved, wave-like structure with folded edges, making it a standout accessory.
The collection was designed under Seán McGirr and debuted during Paris Fashion Week in October 2025. WWD described the runway show as a blend of bold styling and dramatic energy.
The collection featured sharp contrasts and edgy fashion choices. WWD noted, “A blue police officer’s uniform shirt was sexed up with a corset, while pencil skirts came in an array of fabrications, from shredded white denim to faded floral jacquard and black leather dotted with rings and fringes.”
The review also mentioned, “Overall, the collection reflected a more pragmatic approach that should support the ailing label’s ongoing restructuring — and McGirr still delivered some red carpet stunners.”
The event Robbie attended was for the play ‘1536,’ written by Ava Pickett. The narrative unfolds in Tudor England, focusing on three women whose lives are transformed following the execution of Anne Boleyn by King Henry VIII.
Robbie is also a producer of the stage production, adding another layer to her expanding portfolio behind the scenes in film and theatre.
Her appearance in McQueen at the event seamlessly blended her fashion presence with her producing role, marking it as both a stylish moment and a professional milestone tied to the West End premiere.
