John Cena & Eric André Star in Netflix’s ‘Little Brother’ Trailer
Netflix has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming comedy film Little Brother, showcasing the hilarious and chaotic dynamic between two characters portrayed by John Cena and Eric André.
Directed by Matt Spicer, known for Ingrid Goes West, the film tells the story of a successful real estate agent, played by Cena, whose meticulously organized life is disrupted when his “little brother,” portrayed by André, unexpectedly re-enters his world.
In the trailer, Cena’s character expresses his displeasure about the situation, stating, “He’s not my actual brother,” and adds, “The timing on this couldn’t be worse.”
The cast also features Michelle Monaghan, Christopher Meloni, Ego Nwodim, Sherry Cola, Caleb Hearon, Ben Ahlers, Bryce Gheisar, and Pilot Bunch. Little Brother is set to premiere on Netflix on June 26.
One of the comedic highlights in the trailer shows André’s character attempting to persuade Monaghan’s character to support her husband, saying, “Our man is hurting right now,” followed by, “You might want to think about eating that ass.”
In a recent interview with Extra, Cena shared his experience working alongside André, mentioning the challenge of keeping a straight face during filming. He remarked, “They’re only going to show the seconds that I wasn’t laughing,” and noted, “I honestly think we play off each other very well. He has an incredible sense of humor, and I’m a decent sounding board for that.”
Produced by David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer, the film continues the recent projects of both lead actors, with Cena set to appear in upcoming films like Coyote vs. Acme and Matchbox: The Movie, while André is lined up for roles in Street Fighter and Animal Friends.
