‘Peaky Blinders’ Sequel First Look Features ‘Stranger Things’ Star Charlie Heaton
Netflix has unveiled the first image from the upcoming sequel series of ‘Peaky Blinders’, showcasing Charlie Heaton as an older Charles Shelby. Heaton, recognized for his role as Jonathan Byers in ‘Stranger Things’, is stepping into the shoes of Tommy Shelby’s son in this new chapter of the beloved franchise.
According to Netflix, this new six-episode series will explore the next generation of the Shelby family following the events of ‘The Immortal Man’, the recent film that concluded Tommy Shelby’s narrative. Cillian Murphy portrayed Tommy in both the original series and the film.
Jamie Bell will also join the cast as Duke Shelby, who is Charles’ half-brother. Duke previously appeared in ‘The Immortal Man’, where he was played by Barry Keoghan.

Set in the 1950s, the story unfolds about a decade after World War II, in Birmingham as the city begins to rebuild from the devastation of the Blitz.
The official synopsis from Netflix states, “Having fought a violent war, much of it behind enemy lines, Charles Shelby is now embracing normality.” It also notes that Charles has distanced himself from both Duke and the Peaky Blinders gang for years, but poses the question, “But can you ever escape your own blood?”

Currently, production is taking place in Birmingham. Alongside Heaton and Bell, the cast features Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski.

Netflix has confirmed that the series will premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the U.K., while international audiences can stream it on Netflix. A specific release date has yet to be announced.
The new ‘Peaky Blinders’ sequel is created and written by Steven Knight and produced by Kudos and Garrison Drama under Banijay U.K.
