Chris Hemsworth, renowned for his role as Thor in the Marvel franchise, recently encountered an unexpectedly mundane situation unrelated to his superhero persona. This incident revolved around a passport error that resulted in a family travel dilemma at the airport.

Hemsworth recounted the story during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, where he and his wife, Elsa Pataky, discussed a previous trip that didn’t go as smoothly as anticipated. What was meant to be a straightforward check-in turned into a puzzling moment at airport security.

The actor revealed that he mistakenly packed the wrong passport while traveling with his family. Instead of bringing the appropriate document for one of his twin sons, he inadvertently took his daughter India Rose’s passport.

The mix-up became apparent only upon their arrival at the airport. Hemsworth described the moment, admitting it was a genuine mistake. He shared, “I actually went to the airport once, and I had my daughter’s passport instead of my son’s passport.”

Initially, Hemsworth attempted to lighten the mood, hoping the issue could be overlooked. He even tried to persuade airport personnel that the passport still corresponded to the child he was traveling with. However, the situation soon escalated.

He recalled the exchange with security, stating, “I said, ‘This is her.’” The immediate response was clear: “That’s a boy.”

Elsa Pataky, who was present during the interview, chimed in with her perspective. When Hemsworth suggested that their children bore enough resemblance to cause confusion, she firmly disagreed, responding, “They don’t.”

The couple shared their story with humor, highlighting how minor errors can lead to stressful moments during family travels. Despite Hemsworth’s status as one of Hollywood’s most famous actors, this incident revealed a relatable side of his life as a parent.

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have been married since 2010 and are parents to three children: daughter India Rose and twin sons Sasha and Tristan. The family typically maintains a low profile, although their children have occasionally appeared in projects related to their parents.

India Rose previously appeared alongside Hemsworth in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder,’ while the twins recently joined Pataky in her Spanish-language series ‘The Tribute.’ Despite these appearances, Hemsworth has expressed a preference for his children to grow up away from the spotlight before deciding on any future careers in the entertainment industry.

The passport incident, as recounted by Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, serves as a reminder that even global film stars face everyday parenting challenges. In this instance, not even the might of Thor could bypass a simple airport check.
