Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Office Romance’ Dominates Netflix’s Global Charts
Jennifer Lopez has yet another Netflix success with her latest romantic comedy ‘Office Romance’, featuring Brett Goldstein. The film has made a significant impact on the streaming service, quickly becoming one of the year’s top movie releases for Netflix.
Released on June 5, ‘Office Romance’ follows an airline CEO whose strict workplace dating policy is put to the test when a new lawyer enters her life. The film resonated with viewers globally, propelling it to the top of Netflix’s global movie rankings within its first week.
According to Netflix’s official weekly Top 10 report, ‘Office Romance’ garnered 40.1 million hours viewed from June 1 to June 7. This impressive figure translates to 20.9 million views, making it the most-watched movie on the platform during that week.

Additional insights from FlixPatrol indicate that the movie gained traction almost immediately after its release. It started with 823 global points on its first tracked day, reaching 890 points on day two, 899 points on day three, and finishing day four with 898 points. The film also increased its first-place rankings across various countries, reflecting strong viewer interest worldwide.

The film’s strongest performance was noted in English-speaking markets and Europe. In the United States, ‘Office Romance’ debuted at number one and maintained that position throughout its opening weekend. In the United Kingdom, it started in second place before quickly climbing to the top.
Major European nations such as France and Germany also welcomed the film, while Brazil showed similarly strong results. Mexico was another reliable market, although it remained in second place during its initial days.
The situation varied in parts of Asia. FlixPatrol data revealed that in India, the movie opened at number eight before moving up to fifth place. South Korea and Japan were slower to respond, with the film not entering the Top 10 on its first day in either country. However, both markets showed growth in subsequent days, with South Korea reaching fourth place and Japan climbing to seventh.
In comparison to other Netflix movie releases from 2026, ‘Office Romance’ has performed admirably, though action films still dominate. Data from Netflix indicates that ‘The Rip’ had the largest opening week with 41.6 million views, followed by ‘War Machine’ with 39.3 million and ‘Apex’ with 38.2 million. ‘Office Romance’ secured sixth place overall with 20.9 million views, outperforming the romantic comedy ‘People We Meet on Vacation’, which opened with 17.2 million views.

The competition is tougher when considering Jennifer Lopez’s previous Netflix films. Both ‘The Mother’ and ‘Atlas’ attracted larger opening-week audiences. ‘The Mother’ remains Lopez’s strongest Netflix debut with 42.9 million views in its first week, while ‘Atlas’ reached 28.2 million. ‘Office Romance’ follows in third place with 20.9 million views. However, those films belong to the action genre, which typically draws larger opening-week audiences on Netflix.
Among romantic comedies, the outlook is much brighter. Based on Netflix viewing data, ‘Office Romance’ ranks among the stronger rom-com launches on the platform. Only a few titles, including ‘Your Place or Mine’ and ‘A Family Affair’, attracted more viewers during their opening period.
While it may not have reached the explosive numbers of Netflix’s biggest action releases, ‘Office Romance’ has still made a remarkable debut. With strong rankings in major markets and continued momentum during its first week, Jennifer Lopez’s latest film is demonstrating that romantic comedies can still be significant global events on Netflix.
