Netflix has made significant changes to its original TV lineup in 2026, renewing several popular series while also canceling a number of shows. Some of these cancellations were publicly announced, while others occurred quietly without any major statement from the streaming giant.

The latest update, reflecting decisions made through June 14, includes notable titles such as ‘Emily in Paris’, ‘The Night Agent’, ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’, ‘My Life with the Walter Boys’, and ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’.

Fans of ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ received positive news on June 9 when Netflix confirmed the series would return for a third and final season. The upcoming season has already been filmed and will consist of four episodes.

Additionally, Netflix renewed ‘Devil May Cry’ for a third and final season on June 3. Showrunner Adi Shankar noted that the series was always intended to tell a larger story. “This was always Dante’s Divine Comedy with guns and a red coat. Season 1 was Inferno. Season 2 was Purgatorio. Season 3 will be Paradiso,” he explained, adding that the three seasons together form “The Force Edge Saga.”

Not every cancellation was formally announced. The game show ‘What’s in the Box?’, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, was quietly canceled after just one season. TV journalist Matt Webb Mitovich reported that there are no plans for additional episodes.

Netflix also renewed ‘Quarterback’ for season 3. This sports documentary will follow NFL stars such as Jayden Daniels, Baker Mayfield, Cam Ward, and Joe Flacco, with the new season set to premiere on July 14.

Comedy series ‘Big Mistakes’ is returning for season 2. Creator and star Dan Levy expressed his enthusiasm for continuing the show, stating, “Very grateful and beyond excited to continue the Big Mistakes adventure and my creative collaboration with Netflix.”

‘My Life with the Walter Boys’ has also been renewed early, with season 4 already confirmed before season 3 even arrives. Showrunner Melanie Halsall mentioned that the upcoming season will feature many stories, describing it as full of “romantic, sexy and messy stories.”

In May, Netflix renewed several more fan favorites. ‘Running Point’, starring Kate Hudson, will return for season 3, while ‘Love is Blind’ has been renewed for season 11, which will be set in Boston.

‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ has been renewed for season 5, but Netflix has confirmed that it will be the final season. Similarly, ‘The Night Agent’ has also been renewed, but its upcoming fourth season will mark the end of the series.

Reality shows have had a strong year as well. ‘Temptation Island’ will return for season 3, ‘Selling Sunset’ has been renewed for season 10, and ‘Love on the Spectrum’ will see a season 5 renewal. ‘Selling Sunset’ is expected to undergo significant changes, with several cast members reportedly leaving.

The ‘Stranger Things’ universe continues to grow, as ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’ has been renewed for season 2. This animated series follows Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max in a new story set in Hawkins.

Unfortunately, some shows were not as fortunate. ‘Selling the City’ was quietly canceled after one season, with TMZ reporting that Netflix wanted to concentrate on the main ‘Selling Sunset’ franchise. ‘Miss Governor’ was also canceled after one season, leaving star Terri J. Vaughn heartbroken by the decision.

The reality dating series ‘Pop The Balloon Live’ was canceled after one season, according to Deadline. ‘Terminator Zero’ also ended after one season, despite receiving positive reviews. Creator Mattson Tomlin noted that audience numbers were not strong enough. “The critical and audience reception to it was tremendous, but at the end of the day not nearly enough people watched it,” he stated.

‘Class’ also faced a quiet cancellation after being previously renewed. Star Gurfateh Pirzada confirmed the news online, stating that while fans loved the show, another season would not be produced.

Netflix has also renewed ‘Finding Her Edge’ for season 2 and ‘A Man on the Inside’ for season 3, with Ted Danson’s comedy series continuing with new episodes.

Meanwhile, several other shows have come to an end. ‘The Abandons’, featuring Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson, was canceled after one season. ‘The Vince Staples Show’ was canceled after two seasons, and ‘With Love, Meghan’ has also reportedly concluded, according to Page Six.

Netflix has renewed ‘Black Mirror’ for season 8, with creator Charlie Brooker confirming its return. “I can confirm that Black Mirror will return, just in time for reality to catch up with it,” he remarked.

Lastly, ‘Emily in Paris’ was renewed for season 6, but Netflix later confirmed that it would be the series’ final season.

With numerous renewals and cancellations already announced, Netflix’s 2026 lineup illustrates the platform’s ongoing focus on successful franchises while making tough decisions regarding shows that fail to capture enough viewers.
