Wilson Fisk is a character synonymous with his iconic wardrobe. For over a decade, Vincent D’Onofrio has embodied the Kingpin of Crime, with each outfit choice reflecting his status within the MCU. The latest set photos from ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 capture this visual storytelling perfectly.

New images shared by @WarlingHD on June 24 reveal D’Onofrio back on the streets of Brooklyn, donning his signature white suit. This tailored look signifies Fisk at the peak of his power, contrasting sharply with earlier Season 3 photos that depicted him in a long coat, beanie, and a thick white beard.

However, what truly stands out is the bloodstained white jacket around the collar, indicating that Fisk has just emerged from a violent encounter. This suggests a shift from his polished mayoral days to something much darker.

Earlier set photos depicted Fisk in a more unassuming guise, with faded campaign posters for Sheila Rivera’s mayoral run in the background. This imagery suggested a man in retreat, trying to blend into New York rather than dominate it. The return of the white suit in the latest photos tells a different story, hinting that Fisk’s exile was short-lived and his old instincts are resurfacing.

D’Onofrio has expressed how the Season 2 finale impacted his character emotionally, stating, “It’s very different to see what happens to him at the end of the second season. It’s a very different feel. We pick up from what those events have done to him in the third season. You get to meet him and what he’s become after that.” The bloodied white suit in the new photos seems to be the first indication of that transformation.

Charlie Cox described the upcoming season as shedding the skin of the Mayor Fisk era, calling it a new book, a new dawn a little bit. This reset applies to nearly every major character. Matt Murdock is reportedly in prison after his public reveal as Daredevil in the Season 2 finale, while Fisk is free, grief-stricken, and unbound from the political constraints that once held his darker impulses at bay.

D’Onofrio has also discussed how Vanessa’s death will affect Fisk, stating, “I think it damages him in a deep, deep way. I think that it’s going to take some doing to shock himself out of that somehow.” A man so deeply affected, wearing a bloodstained white suit and roaming the streets of New York without a mayor’s title or a wife, may be more dangerous than ever before.

With Daredevil behind bars, the responsibility of holding New York together falls to others. The season will see the return of Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Danny Rand, alongside Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, marking the first full on-screen Defenders reunion since the Netflix era. Set photos confirm all three filming together in New York, with Danielle Cage, the young daughter of Luke and Jessica, also involved in the action.

Principal photography began in March and is expected to conclude in July, with the season set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2027 as part of Phase Six of the MCU. Production is currently operating under the working title Out the Kitchen, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead returning as directors. Each week of new set leaks has heightened anticipation, and the June 24 images of a blood-splattered Fisk indicate that the season will delve into darker themes.

The pressing question is not whether Kingpin will pose a threat in Season 3; the bloodstained white suit has already provided that answer. The real question is what or who he left behind in his wake. Share your theories in the comments and let us know your thoughts on Fisk’s journey.
