Kingpin’s Bloodstained White Suit Revealed in New ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 Set Photos
Few characters in recent Marvel history carry their wardrobe quite like Wilson Fisk. Each costume choice reflects the Kingpin’s standing in the MCU’s power hierarchy, and the latest images from the New York set of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 indicate that his narrative is about to take a dark turn.
Principal photography for the third season has been ongoing since March 2026, with filming happening at Silvercup Studios in Queens and various locations throughout New York City. Earlier set photos showcased Vincent D’Onofrio looking quite different, dressed in casual attire, a long winter coat, and a beanie, along with a thick white beard for the first time in his eleven-year MCU journey. This striking imagery depicted a man seemingly trying to blend into the background.
However, the photos shared by Daredevil Shots on June 24, sourced via Getty Images, present a starkly different narrative. D’Onofrio has returned to the Brooklyn streets of New York City, and the Kingpin has once again donned his iconic white suit.
The tailored suit unmistakably signifies Fisk at the peak of his power, contrasting sharply with earlier Season 3 set photos that depicted him wandering the city in a long coat, beanie, and thick white beard. However, the suit is not without its flaws; blood stains mar the jacket and collar, indicating that Fisk’s quiet exile has already descended into violence.
D’Onofrio has discussed the emotional toll the Season 2 finale took on his character, stating, “I think it damages him in a deep, deep way. I think that it’s going to take some doing to shock himself out of that somehow.” A man so shattered stepping back into his blood-soaked white suit suggests more of a reckoning than a comeback.
In an interview with GamesRadar+, he elaborated, “It’s very different to see what happens to him at the end of the second season. It’s a very different feel. We pick up from what those events have done to him in the third season.”
Charlie Cox has also described the shift, telling Entertainment Weekly that ‘Born Again’ Season 3 feels like the show has moved past the Mayor Fisk era, marking “a new book, a new dawn a little bit.”
Season 3 will also bring back the Defenders for the first time since their Netflix crossover, with Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones reprising their roles as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand respectively. Alongside a grieving, unshackled Fisk, this lineup promises a season filled with more complexities than anything the show has attempted before.
Showrunner Dario Scardapane confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that filming is set to wrap in early July, placing production roughly at the halfway mark at the time of the update. The season is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in March 2027 and will consist of eight episodes, continuing as part of Phase Six of the MCU. With a blood-splattered white suit making an appearance this early in production, one can only speculate how brutal the season might become before its premiere.
The question remains whether Fisk will become more dangerous without the political constraints of the mayor’s office or if the loss of Vanessa will permanently alter him. Share your theories on what that bloodstained suit might be concealing in Season 3.
