First Look at the LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball Set
LEGO and Pokémon are collaborating once again, unveiling a new collection of sets that transforms some of the franchise’s most iconic characters into brick form. The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International have announced five exciting additions to the LEGO Pokémon lineup, which includes large display builds, new Pokémon figures, and the debut of LEGO Pokémon Trainer minifigures.
The announcement, made by the LEGO Group on July 7, showcases new sets featuring beloved Pokémon such as Rayquaza, Arcanine, and Munchlax. This collection is tailored for fans who enjoy both building and showcasing their favorite Pokémon moments, further enhancing the partnership between these two major brands.

The highlight of this announcement is the LEGO Pokémon Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball set. Comprising over 2,300 pieces, this impressive build recreates a large Poké Ball that can open and close. Inside, fans will discover various scenes inspired by the Pokémon universe, including a battle scene and Professor Oak’s laboratory.

This set also marks a significant first for the LEGO Pokémon series by introducing Trainer minifigures. It features Red, Professor Oak, and a Picnicker, alongside LEGO versions of Pikachu and Eevee. The Poké Ball display set is priced at $299.99 and will be available starting October 1, 2026.

Another exciting addition is LEGO Pokémon Rayquaza, which brings the Legendary Pokémon into LEGO form for the first time. This 1,083-piece set captures Rayquaza’s majestic appearance, inspired by the Sky Pillar location from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. It also includes an exclusive minifigure of Zinnia, a character known as a Lorekeeper in the Pokémon universe.

For fans of Fire-type Pokémon, the LEGO Pokémon Arcanine set offers a new display option. This 1,190-piece set beautifully captures the iconic Kanto Pokémon with intricate details, including its signature fur and dynamic pose. Like many other sets in this collection, it targets adult builders and collectors.

The lineup also features LEGO Pokémon Munchlax, a smaller yet detailed build showcasing the sleepy and food-loving Pokémon. This 757-piece set includes movable parts, allowing fans to pose Munchlax with its favorite snacks.

For those seeking a larger character display, LEGO is also introducing the LEGO Pokémon Up-Scaled Red Minifigure. This 930-piece set transforms the classic Pokémon Trainer into a larger LEGO figure, complete with Red’s iconic outfit, hat, backpack, and Poké Ball. The figure features movable arms, legs, and a rotating head.
Julia Goldin, Chief Marketing and Product Officer at the LEGO Group, expressed excitement about the positive response to the LEGO Pokémon partnership. “We know fans are thrilled to see the LEGO Pokémon world continue to grow within our portfolio,” Goldin stated. “Pokémon is such a beloved franchise with an incredibly passionate global community, and the response to our LEGO Pokémon sets so far has been extraordinary. We’re excited to keep delivering new and imaginative build experiences for fans of all ages and we can’t wait for them to enjoy what’s coming next.”
Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International, also shared enthusiasm about the ongoing collaboration. “The response from our fans to the LEGO Pokémon sets released so far has been incredible to see. We’re proud to continue inspiring discovery and creativity through new launches such as these, alongside the LEGO Group, giving fans the chance to build, play, and experience the world of Pokémon in all new ways.”
The new LEGO Pokémon sets are set to start arriving later in 2026. Pre-orders are already available through LEGO’s official channels, with several sets launching on August 1, while the Poké Ball and Up-Scaled Red Minifigure will be released on October 1.
This announcement follows LEGO’s recent reveal of another series of Pokémon-themed sets featuring SMART Play technology. These interactive sets will include characters such as Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Gengar, Eevee, and Mew, providing younger fans with new ways to engage with their builds.
With the introduction of legendary Pokémon, classic trainers, and a giant Poké Ball display piece, LEGO and Pokémon are clearly aiming to attract both longtime fans and new builders. This latest collection continues to merge two of the world’s most recognizable brands while offering fans another avenue to experience the Pokémon universe.
