Fans of ‘MobLand’ can now look forward to returning to the intense world of the Harrigan family. Paramount+ has officially revealed the premiere date for Season 2 of this gripping British crime drama, along with an exciting first look at what lies ahead for Harry Da Souza and the criminal empire at the heart of the series.

The highly anticipated season is set to debut on Paramount+ on September 18, featuring 10 brand new episodes. In addition to the release date announcement, Paramount shared a teaser that offers viewers an early glimpse into the next chapter of the series, highlighting the escalating conflicts facing its characters.

This announcement comes after months of speculation surrounding star Tom Hardy and reports of behind-the-scenes tensions between him and the show’s producers. Reports indicated that Hardy had briefly stepped back from plans related to the series, but a meeting in London helped resolve the issues, allowing him to return for future seasons.

Hardy will reprise his role as Harry Da Souza, the cunning and dangerous fixer closely associated with the Harrigan crime family. His character has become integral to the show, navigating the complexities of loyalty, violence, and strategy while attempting to manage the family’s escalating challenges.

Paramount+ describes Season 2 as a narrative where the Harrigans face mounting pressure from new adversaries while striving to maintain unity. The official synopsis states, “The second season will see the Harrigans struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire.”

The synopsis further reveals that Harry must confront growing tensions within the family while trying to survive a perilous power struggle. It emphasizes that “violence spills into every corner of their lives, loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy.”

The new season continues the story crafted by Ronan Bennett, with Jez Butterworth returning as executive producer and showrunner. The series boasts a talented team behind the scenes, including Guy Ritchie and Hardy as executive producers, alongside David C. Glasser, Ivan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, and Keith Cox.

The first season introduced audiences to the Harrigans and their criminal dynamics, blending family drama with thrilling crime elements. Season 2 is poised to deepen that conflict as external threats and internal strife jeopardize the family’s future.

With Hardy’s return confirmed and a new season on the horizon, ‘MobLand’ is gearing up for another gripping chapter. Fans will soon discover whether Harry can hold the Harrigans together or if their empire will crumble from within.
