Elodie Yung’s Elektra Returns in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 Set Photos

Marvel is steadily reviving its old Netflix universe, with ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ quietly bringing together what feels like a true Defenders reunion behind the scenes.

Season 3 has already confirmed the returns of Mike Colter’s Luke Cage, Finn Jones’s Danny Rand, and Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, all of whom have been spotted filming on location prior to any official studio announcements.

The latest addition to this lineup is perhaps the most eagerly awaited. Recent set photos and videos from the Season 3 production showcase Elodie Yung back in her Elektra Natchios costume, marking her first appearance in the franchise since ‘The Defenders’ left her fate uncertain nearly a decade ago.

Elektra’s storyline on Netflix left ample opportunity for her return. She died while battling the Hand at the end of ‘Daredevil’ Season 2, only to be resurrected under the influence of Sigourney Weaver’s villain, Alexandra Reid. Her arc concluded with her body never recovered after the Midland Circle collapse in ‘The Defenders’.

Initial set sightings showed Yung in a hooded cloak, but the latest images reveal her fully suited up in Elektra’s updated costume. This new look combines her classic comic book style with the grounded, tactical aesthetic established by the Netflix and MCU Daredevil series, featuring a deep red and black color palette, a sleeveless vest with red accents, black leather pants, and red forearm wraps paired with fingerless gloves.

This redesign clearly marks an evolution from the costume she wore during her original run on the Netflix series.

Some of the latest footage goes further, capturing Yung filming alongside Charlie Cox’s Daredevil. This gives fans their clearest indication yet that Elektra’s return will involve direct interactions with Matt Murdock rather than keeping her on the sidelines. Marvel Studios has yet to officially confirm her involvement, with all information currently stemming from location filming captured in New York City and Brooklyn.

In addition to her reunion with Daredevil, reports suggest that the season may feature Elektra facing off against Bullseye, adding another layer of tension to a season already balancing Wilson Fisk’s ongoing arc, Matt Murdock’s uncertain future, and the reassembly of the Defenders. This packed roster aligns with the nostalgic tone Season 3 has established, integrating these characters fully into the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With filming still in progress and a premiere date reportedly set for March 2027, fans can anticipate more set photos to emerge before Marvel officially confirms these castings. For a character whose fate has remained unresolved for years, seeing Yung back in action alongside Cox feels like one of the most satisfying payoffs in this entire Netflix reunion arc.
