Alexandra Daddario Shares First Look From ‘Escorted’ Set as Filming Begins
Alexandra Daddario has begun filming her next major project, offering fans a first glimpse of her upcoming Prime Video comedy series ‘Escorted.’ Recent set photos showcase the actress on location in New York as production progresses ahead of its future release.
One of the standout moments was Daddario’s appearance on the set of ‘Escorted,’ a new comedy series from Amazon Prime Video and Warner Bros. Television.
‘Escorted’ is an eight-episode, half-hour single-camera comedy created by Emmy-winning writer and actor Brett Goldstein, known for his work on ‘Ted Lasso’ and ‘Shrinking.’ Goldstein is also an executive producer, writer, and co-showrunner on the project alongside Brian Gallivan, who has contributed to shows like ‘Shrinking’ and ‘Happy Endings.’
The series centers on a divorced father living in Manhattan who unexpectedly finds himself in the world of male escorting. It explores themes of relationships, secrets, parenting, and whether genuine emotional connections can arise from what begins as a business arrangement.
While Daddario’s specific role in the series remains under wraps, her participation has already piqued the interest of fans eager to see her in a new comedic light. This project adds to her impressive television portfolio, which includes roles in ‘The White Lotus’ and ‘Mayfair Witches.’
Brett Goldstein has expressed his enthusiasm for the series, humorously addressing its unique subject matter while sharing his motivation for bringing the story to life. “I’m so excited to bring a wholesome show about condoms, co-parenting, and cosplay to Amazon – the place where I actually buy my condoms, so it feels like a real full circle moment,” Goldstein remarked.
Channing Dungey, chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television, praised the creative team behind the series, noting that Goldstein and Gallivan have crafted a fresh perspective on modern relationships while keeping the emotional core of the story intact.
“Together, Brett and Brian deliver a hilarious, modern take on relationships, grounded in a heartfelt story about a single dad navigating love, parenting, and life,” Dungey stated.
Peter Friedlander, an executive at Prime Video, also emphasized the balance of comedy and emotion in the series, explaining that it’s not just about the unusual premise but also about individuals seeking real connections.
“What makes ‘Escorted’ so compelling is that beneath all of the chaos, comedy, and secrecy is an unexpectedly tender story about people searching for connection,” Friedlander noted.
Produced by Warner Bros. Television, the series includes Cooper Wehde, Josh Senior, and Molly Mandel as executive producers. It will be available globally on Prime Video across more than 240 countries and territories.
Although a premiere date has yet to be announced, these initial behind-the-scenes glimpses indicate that production is well underway. With Daddario leading the cast and a talented creative team behind the scenes, ‘Escorted’ is shaping up to be one of Prime Video’s most intriguing upcoming releases.
