The mutant aspect of ‘Avengers Doomsday’ has largely remained under wraps compared to the extensive revelations about Doctor Doom. While fans have enjoyed glimpses from trailers and some hints, the actual appearances of Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr have mostly been kept a secret.

This secrecy has only heightened the excitement, especially with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen reprising their iconic roles decades after they first portrayed them in the early X-Men films. A recent teaser even depicted the two characters engaged in a quiet chess match, suggesting a more emotional and grounded narrative for figures typically characterized by conflict.

Now, a new collection of figures has unveiled a version of Magneto that fans have eagerly awaited to see on screen. Recent Iron Studios figures showcasing Doctor Doom, Professor Xavier, and Magneto have emerged, providing the clearest look yet at how these characters will be depicted in the film.

The Magneto figure features Erik in a striking red super suit, complete with his iconic helmet, levitating above a broken pillar with his arm extended. This design marks a significant shift from the muted black and gray outfits the character wore throughout the original X-Men trilogy, aligning more closely with his classic comic book appearance.

In contrast, Professor X is portrayed in his own figure, seated amidst rubble and a shattered stained glass window while actively using his powers. This imagery resonates with the tone of the previously released teaser, where Xavier ominously states that death comes for everyone and emphasizes the importance of choices made before the end.

Doctor Doom completes this wave of merchandise, continuing Marvel’s strategy of keeping Robert Downey Jr.’s villain at the forefront of nearly every reveal associated with the film. Collider received an exclusive early look at all three figures, offering fans their first detailed glimpse at how the X-Men storyline is evolving.

The costume design for Magneto reflects a broader trend that Marvel has been embracing in its merchandise rollout. Earlier glimpses of crew apparel and other collectibles hinted that Magneto and several other X-Men characters would be receiving more comic-accurate redesigns for ‘Doomsday,’ moving away from the subdued tones of the earlier movie trilogy in favor of bolder, more recognizable costumes.

This approach extends to the broader X-Men roster featured in the film, which includes James Marsden as Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Alongside the returning Avengers, the New Avengers lineup, and the ‘Fantastic Four’ cast led by Pedro Pascal, the ensemble continues to expand with each new wave of merchandise.

For collectors, these three figures are just a part of a much larger array of toys and collectibles tied to the film, ranging from smaller statues to premium format pieces. However, for fans eager to visualize what ‘Doomsday’ will look like on screen, this release provides some of the most valuable visual insights to date.

‘Avengers Doomsday’ is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, and with the X-Men finally coming into clearer view, excitement for the film’s full trailer continues to grow.
