‘Reacher’ Season 4 Episode 5 Release Date and Air Time
Jack Reacher is known for his restless spirit, and Prime Video’s successful adaptation of Lee Child’s novels has maintained that relentless energy since its debut in 2022. Alan Ritchson’s portrayal of the towering drifter turned reluctant investigator has become a must-watch for fans of hard-hitting action television, and Season 4 has only heightened the excitement.
This season takes Reacher to Philadelphia, adapting Lee Child’s 13th novel, ‘Gone Tomorrow’. The story kicks off with a chance encounter on a subway car and spirals into an intricate conspiracy. After a three-episode premiere and a fourth episode last week, the show has settled into its familiar weekly rhythm, with fans eagerly awaiting the transition from Wednesday night to Thursday morning.
That countdown is nearly over. ‘Reacher’ Season 4, Episode 5, titled “Bridge,” is set to premiere on Prime Video on August 26, 2026, continuing the season’s steady weekly releases following the show’s three-episode launch on August 12 and its fourth episode on August 19.
As with the rest of the season, “Bridge” will adhere to Prime Video’s standard release schedule, becoming available at 3 a.m. ET and 12 a.m. PT in the United States. Viewers in the United Kingdom can expect the episode around 8 a.m. BST, with other regions able to calculate their local times accordingly.
The episode continues the pattern established since the season premiere, when Prime Video released the first three chapters together before transitioning to single weekly episodes. This structure will carry the series through the remainder of its eight-episode run, with the season finale, “Cut,” scheduled for September 16.
According to the official episode synopsis, “Bridge” sees Reacher becoming Philadelphia’s most wanted man after a misunderstanding escalates. Meanwhile, old adversaries resurface just as new threats begin to close in on him.
The episode also further develops Jacob Merrick, played by Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette. Jacob, along with Tamara Green (Sydelle Noel) and Russell Plum (Kevin Weisman), finds himself caught in a firefight, presenting Jacob with his first real chance to avenge his sister’s death, a storyline that has been simmering since the early episodes of the season.
Jacob’s grief has been a central theme throughout his arc. As a small-town cop with limited experience beyond routine traffic stops, he has been thrust into a much larger and more dangerous situation involving his sister’s death and his nephew’s disappearance. Tamara has acted as a stabilizing influence between Reacher and Jacob, helping to temper his emotional responses while the group unravels a conspiracy linked to a missing flash drive that various dangerous parties are willing to kill for.
‘Reacher’ Season 4 continues the franchise’s tradition of merging brutal, hand-to-hand combat with a slow-burn mystery. Ritchson has reportedly taken charge of the show’s fight choreography since Season 3, a change credited with providing the series a more grounded and intense combat style.
The stakes are notably high this season, especially considering the success of its predecessor. Season 3 was a massive hit for Prime Video, and that momentum has raised expectations for the new installments as the story races toward its finale.

Fans can also look forward to more beyond “Bridge.” The spinoff series ‘Neagley’, featuring Maria Sten as Reacher’s longtime ally Frances Neagley, will release its complete first season on Prime Video on September 16, coinciding with the conclusion of ‘Reacher’ Season 4. Additionally, ‘Reacher’ has already been renewed for a fifth season, which is expected to adapt Lee Child’s novel ‘Make Me’.
With “Bridge” hinting at a firefight, a fugitive Reacher, and a significant turning point for Jacob’s revenge storyline, Episode 5 is set to elevate the season’s conspiracy into its most perilous phase yet.
